Timo Werner

There was enough there to see that he is an asset. Linked up well with Bentancur.

He’s clearly a player who is low on confidence but gets into the right places, showed great touch to control most balls, and showed he is able/skilful. Already has one assist!

I expected him to be more direct, but it's early days and he still needs to get match fit and acclimatized to the system. That assist, however, was a thing of beauty. Literally led Lolo to the goal. Good movement and anticipation by Lolo too.

Pretty good debut. Thought he started out with a lot of intent, but became a bit more cautious when his first efforts didn't work out. Great assist though. And he gets himself into good attacking positions. All of this in his first game for a team he joined less than a week ago. I think he will be a great asset for us.

He was decent. Think the problem is that the expectation for many was that he would be dangerous but erratic and the two shooting opportunities he got today were pretty dire efforts and similar to what we saw at Chelsea. Neither were easy opportunities but they don’t help the perception of him.

However, it’s his first game. It would be ridiculous to go too hard on him until he gets a few games and training sessions under his belt.

Nothing special from him today, and honestly wouldn't expect that after just a few days. Was 10 times better than Johnson though.

An assist on debut isn’t bad either.

Ok it wasn’t a lay it on a plate assist, but he did well to make space and played a good pass. Promising

And he's only played 17mins of football in the last two months before today!

I thought he looked really bright. Has a real knack of finding pockets of space.
Linked up well in general. Got an assist. Caused Man U lots of problems.

Considering that game time this season, plus only two training sessions with Spurs, not sure you could expect more than, get into positions, get an assist, push the opponents back. As others have mentioned, probably a touch too safe (Ange will train that out of him).

Was completely out of gas at the end ..

Hit the target?

there was a stat during the game. That he had 5-6 shots. And that he never had that in his whole chelski career in one game.

I will give him time. Was his first game. He has pace and vision out wide. But yes, needs to do better with hitting the target. The one from the skipp pass was a big disappointment.

He's already got more assists at Old Trafford this season than Antony
