Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I watch football for entertainment. Every time I go to a live game (and I do about 6 a year) it costs me about £200 a game when all is taken into account. I am not of the opinion it doesn't matter how bad we look, how many games we lose, as long as I get behind the team. I spend a lot of money watching Spurs, and like anything I spend my money on I expect value for money. At present I'm not getting that, so I feel I have every right to complain. I want Frank to succeed, but when it get's to the point I believe he can't deliver what I want in a reasonable period of time, I'll call for his head

I think that is all very reasonable and I can understand your reasoning.
However, I would be interested in knowing if you have always had that attitude as it sounds like the attitude I would expect from a much younger fan.
Judging by your user name you one of older fans, as a I, and as much as I love to see us win the match day experience is so, so much for me.
It's about being part of a community of like minded people, connecting to something bigger and better than me the individual.
I know the scenery of match days has changed almost beyond recognition from when I started attending matches in the 70s, but the thrill is still there.

I wish I still had that enthusiasm, the atmosphere at home games has been on a downward spiral since we move to Wembley with a few exceptions. I loved going with my dad and later my mates then seeing my kids and grandkids enjoying the experience it became a ritual whatever the outcome.

I only get to a few games a year so maybe that's why it's easier to keep my enthusiasm.
We tend to spend a fair amount of time in the stadium as well so it is more a day out, it's all part of it, the walk from the underground, the pint and pie listening to the signing in the concourse at the south stand, the match itself, a beer after and then the walk back.

I stopped going because the PL bored me more than Spurs did and I just didn't see the value in the product as a whole and still don't, so I made my choice. I also wanted to spend time doing other things etc.

I miss the time with mates, the pints and being around the place, like I have said before I less enjoyed what seemed an increasing level of fans just being dingdongheads about the place TBH and its the part I fight against when I do go now, but then again I usually pay more for the £120 tickets with access to the lounge and unlimited bowl foods, you get less dingdongs who say that every player is a cnut

Great, it's more than the game it's the whole experience.

I am certain its one of the others who came on here to spout their beliefs, either the Bat or the Rat or the other who was banned, just reads the same
So you are one of those m0rons who believe everyone has to say positive things all the time and agree with each other. My mistake, I thought it was a forum open to people with opposing views and opinions

I get that, although I don't see much dingdongs at the games, but that could be because I remember what it was like back in the 70s and 80s and it's really not comparable to now.
The PL is boring and my biggest grievance with Arteta and the way he is playing is that it reminds me of the Liverpool teams of my youth, great winners, terrible football.
Not every game is going to be entertaining, but they should at least try to be.

I was happy to give him time while we looked better at the back. See what he could do with a Solanke and Madison. But we are back to being poor all over the pitch
