This is where you post all the transfer rumours you find regarding Tottenham.

Everything MUST come with a link to the article it's from. If it's from twitter we need to know who tweeted it in order to separate the journo BS from the other BS. Similar if it's from somewhere else (tv, radio etc.).

Absolutely NO ITK and other random anonymous twits.

ALL discussion goes in other threads and NOT IN HERE.

Fiorentina lead Spurs and Aston Villa in chase for French youngster

Fiorentina have stolen a march on Tottenham and Aston Villa in the race to land Nancy defender Massadio Haidara.
Villa came close to signing him in the summer but the move fell through after Paul Lambert replaced Alex McLeish.
Reports in recent weeks have suggested Spurs boss Andre Villas-boas is also monitoring the 19-year-old France Under-21 international.
But Fiorentina appeared to have stepped up their interest, with sources in Italy claiming the left-back's representative was in Florence earlier this week.

Juan Fernando Quintero – Pescara

‘La Nueva Promesa’ has become a sensation at Italian side Pescara and is yet another rising star in the Colombian game. Signed on loan to replace the departing Marco Veratti by the promoted side the 19-year-old has not disappointed during his debut season on the continent.

His parent club Atletico Nacional are open to offers with Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus all interested. In the UK; Manchester United have been mentioned as holding a vested interest in the player along with Liverpool and Spurs.

Andreas Granqvist – Genoa

The former Wigan defender did not cover himself in glory during the friendly win over England earlier in November but the Swede is still reportedly being chased by a host of clubs in the Premier League. The Genoa centre-back has been linked to Liverpool, QPR and Sunderland in the past month.

Alexandre Pato – AC Milan

The 23-year-old Brazilian is reportedly desperately unhappy at the San Siro. The Rossoneri would want to recuperate as much of the fee they paid for the forward and have already ruled out a swap deal with Emirates Marketing Project for Mario Balotelli.

Paris Saint-Germain have distanced themselves from a move leaving many Italian commentators to believe a move to either Juventus or Chelsea the most likely next step. There is also the possibility of him returning to his native Brazil.

Miralem Pjanic – AS Roma

Another seemingly extinct rumour that instead was simply lying dormant. Now it has once again started to become seismic as Tottenham are increasingly linked with a move for the Bosnian free-kick specialist. However with his agent suggesting no move would occur till the summer Spurs fans will have to wait to see him at White Hart Lane.

Mauro Zarate – Lazio

‘The Zarate Kid’ was a popular if not mercurial figure at St Andrews during his short stint with Birmingham City in 2008. He moved on to Lazio and also had a spell on loan at Inter Milan but despite initially finding form under Vladimir Petkovic he now finds himself on the side-lines more often than not. He has fond memories from English football and despite interest from Russia and Spain English duo Liverpool and Stoke City may have the edge.

Tottenham are said to be considering a move for striker Ricky Van Wolfswinkel as he continues to drag his feet over signing a new deal at Sporting Lisbon.

Van Wolfswinkel, who joined Sporting from Dutch side Utrecht in June 2011, has scored 29 goals in 53 matches since moving to Portugal, and has consistently been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Sunderland have all been mentioned as possible destinations for the 23-year-old, but he dismissed speculation during the summer, by revealing that he is in negotiations with Sporting over a new three-year-deal at the Jose Alvalade stadium.

However, those talks have since dragged and Van Wolfswinkel is now willing to consider other options, unless the club meet his wage demands by the new year.

According to Portuguese newspaper Abola, Van Wolfswinkel’s agent Louis Laros will sit down with Sporting president Godinho Lopes next week in a bid to find an agreement, and Laros is ready to demand a transfer in the January window if a compromise can’t be reached.

It’s news that will suit Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, who twice tried to sign Van Wolfswinkel while at former club Porto, and would be interested in bringing him to White Hart Lane if the price is right.

Sporting still believe they can keep the all-action centre forward, but an offer in the region of £8million would be difficult to turn down.

Tottenham have joined the list of clubs following Nancy full back Massadio Haidara.

The 19-year-old has been capped by France at Under 21 level and has 18 months left on his contract.

Last season former Villa manager Alex McLeish teed up a £2million transfer and club chiefs hoped new manager Paul Lambert would see the deal through.

However the French side no value Haidara at £6.5m.

Villa watched Haidara 10 times last season and sent chief executive Paul Faulkner to see him play a number of times.

Meanwhile, Stephen Warnock, who plays in Haidara's position wants Aston Villa to sell him to Bolton, where he is on loan.

The two-cap England left back has been frozen out at Villa Park. Warnock, 30, said: ‘I’d definitely like to stay.’

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN could be bound for White Hart Lane in January after snubbing Ajax’s efforts to discuss a new contract.
The Denmark international has been a loyal servant to the Dutch outfit since joining in 2009, but he appears to be ready for pastures new.

Spurs face a tussle to land their man with Manchester United also reportedly interested.

Ajax’s sporting director, Marc Overmars said: “We want Christian to sign a new deal, but he is not interested.

“We do have talks planned with him and his agent, so we will have to see what happens in December.”

Ajax are expected to play hard ball, as they are reluctant to sell one of their star players.

Eriksen has made clubs sit up and take notice, especially after a terrific performance during his side’s 3-1 victory over Emirates Marketing Project in the Champions League group stages.

CHELSEA and Tottenham Hotspur are set to do battle for Shakhtar Donetsk’s highly-rated star Willian.
The 24-year-old was left frustrated in the summer as Shakhtar refused bids from Chelsea and Spurs for him.

Although Willian may be interested in working under Andre Villas-Boas, Chelsea look to be slight favourites to land their man.

Willian believes he is closer this time round to securing a move away from the Ukrainian champions.

He said: “I’m very happy with my moment at the club and I intend to keep living this moment.

“As for a possible transfer, there will be offers for sure and I work so that it happens.

“My club and my representatives will decide my future. I’m focused on helping Shakhtar to keep making history in the Champions League.”

Willian helped himself to a double, when Shakhtar lost 3-2 at Stamford Bridge in a Champions League group match earlier this month.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is preparing a January move for England Under-21 left-back Danny Rose, writes the Sunday People.

Rose is on a season-long loan at Sunderland from Tottenham, but the agreement has a mid-season break clause which could see him return to White Hart Lane, or be sold in the New Year window.

Kop chief Rodgers is desperate to sign a left-back as he is not a fan of Spanish star Jose Enrique, who has been operating in left midfield and would be sold if Liverpool could find a buyer.

Click here to read more stories from the Sunday People

And Rose, who was at the centre of the England U21 race storm in Serbia in October, has impressed the Anfield chief with a succession of fine displays for Sunderland this season.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will demand a premium fee for the 22-year-old, believed to be around £5million.

But Liverpool have money to spend in January and are capable of striking a deal for Rose.

Despite 25 caps for the England U21s and a role in the Great Britain Olympic squad – plus a stunning goal against Arsenal on his league debut – Rose has never enjoyed a sustained run of first-team games at White Hart Lane.

But his move north has brought him to the attention of several Premier League clubs, with the Black Cats keen to make the move permanent.

Southampton have shown interest in Rose before and also have the funds to strengthen their squad when the January transfer window opens.

West Brom, who wanted to take Rose on loan this term, are unlikely to meet Spurs’ asking price.

NICKLAS BENDTNER says he would love another crack at English football – and would not rule out joining Spurs.

Arsenal’s Danish international striker is currently on a season-long loan at Juventus but has struggled to make an impression with the Italian champions.

The Turin giants will not be taking up any options and Bendtner, 24, who spent last season on loan at *Sunderland, will be in limbo when he returns.

He admits he would be happy to stay in London and would not discount the prospect of emulating William Gallas and Emmanuel Adebayor, who have played for Arsenal and Spurs in recent years.

He said: “I would not rule out a return to London.”

TuttoMercato report that Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has taken an liking to talented young Dutch international Adam Maher.

The White Hart Lane boss is known for his willingness to trust to youth and as such a move to North London may well tempt the young AZ Alkmaar playmaker who could well have outgrown his Eredivisie surroundings.

Moroccan born Dutch international teenager Maher has become a much sought after property and AZ will struggle to keep the 19 year old much longer.

Last term the young midfielder made a real impact in the Eredivisie and became a hugely important player in Gertjan Verbeek’s first team picture, racking up 52 appearances in all competitions and helping AZ to the Europa League Quarter-Finals.

Maher has continued to progress this season, bagging four goals and laying on five assists as prospective interested parties look on. Indeed both Sunderland and Saudi Sportswashing Machine are said to be tracking the talented starlet.

Though Tottenham brought in some top quality summer signings they also lost a great deal of midfield creativity as they allowed both Luka Modric and Rafael Van der Vaart to leave for Real Madrid and Hamburg respectively, therefore a move for Adam Maher could be a long term investment well worth making.

Spurs are long-term admirers of Eriksen and have been in contact with Ajax as manager Andre Villas-Boas looks to add more creativity to his midfield following the summer departures of Luka Modric and Rafael Van der Vaart.

Ajax expect the £15 million-rated midfielder to eventually leave the Amsterdam ArenA but, as they did with Jan Vertonghen last season, will refuse to sell their most valuable asset in the New Year.

Manchester United have also been closely monitoring Eriksen’s situation, and although the 20-year-old is interested in playing in the Premier League he favours a move to one of the two Spanish giants, Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Spurs held talks with Ajax over a move for Eriksen during the summer, also strongly linked with Emirates Marketing Project and Liverpool, when they signed Jan Vertonghen from the Dutch side in a £10m deal .

In an attempt to steal a march in the race for the Ajax academy product, they have again made the first move regarding a possible January move - only to be told that the Eredivisie club have no intention of accepting a bid in the winter window.

“Spurs have been strongly sniffing around Eriksen for a while and have already made an enquiry about a January transfer,” a source told Goal.com. “It won’t happen unless the fee is ridiculously high but they still have a real chance next summer.”

Villas-Boas is eyeing a number of creative targets for the January window, with Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Willian and Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic also on the north London club’s radar.

Eriksen has long been hailed as a future star and drawn comparisons with Danish legend Michael Laudrup, who also shot to fame playing the playmaker role for Ajax.

He caught the eye in both of Ajax’s Champions League games against Emirates Marketing Project this season and has been in impressive form in the league, scoring four goals and providing five assists in 13 appearances.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly monitoring Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder with a view to a January bid

Spurs are considering a surprise January move for Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder, according to TalkSport.

The Inter Milan midfielder is due for contract discussions early this week with the Serie A giants reportedly about to demand Sneijder takes a pay cut.

That could prompt the 28-year-old to look for a move as early as January with PSG, Manchester United - and Tottenham - monitoring the situation.

The North London club pulled off a similar coup when they signed Rafael van der Vaart from Real Madrid in August 2010 for just £8m.

Udinese star Mehdi Benatia has welcomed speculation linking him with a move to either Manchester United or Tottenham during the January transfer window.

French-born Benatia, who has 20 caps for Morocco, has long been considered one of the classiest central defenders in Europe, having stepped up since his move to Udinese from Clermont in 2010.

It’s a reputation that has seen him linked with moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona in the past, while a number of Premier League clubs are known to have had scouts check on him in the last 18 months.

Manchester United are one of those sides, but Tottenham have also emerged as a front-runner for Benatia's signature with a number of Italian newspapers suggesting Andre Villas-Boas is readying an £8million offer.

Benatia has previously brushed off suggestions he will depart Udinese any time soon.

However, speaking this week the 25-year-old says he is flattered to be linked with such big sides, and would be open to a move if Udinese want to cash in.

‘I have a deal at Udinese that I want to honour – but that’s unless the club want me to leave and make some cash,’ said a coy Benatia.

‘I'm very flattered to be linked with those teams.’

It is thought Udinese would be willing to do business in January if either United or Spurs meet their £15million valuation because Lorient’s Bruno Ecuele Manga is already being lined up as a cut-price replacement.

Reports that Tottenham have made an offer for Nancy and France Under-21 left-back Massadio Haidara have been rubbished by the Ligue 1 club’s sports director Eric Martin.

Real Madrid forward Kaka is unsure if he will still be at the Bernabeu past January after struggling to force his way into the first team.

The Brazilian playmaker, who cost Los Blancos £56million when he joined from AC Milan in 2009, has suffered from a long-standing knee injury as well as a lack of form.

Kaka has made just one league start this campaign - against Celta Vigo in October - and even then he was replaced at half-time.

Last night the 30-year-old made a rare start and was named as captain as Real, who were already assured of a spot in the knockout stages, beat Ajax 4-1.

Kaka scored the third, but his future at the club is unclear with LA Galaxy said to be interested.

Former Galaxy and Real midfielder David Beckham, who played with Kaka at AC Milan, talked up a move for the Brazilian, saying: 'We’d welcome any player of his skill and calibre at Galaxy.'

However, Kaka, who still has three years left to run on his deal with Real, claims there has been no contact although admits he could soon leave last season’s Primera Division champions.

'No, now I have (heard) nothing (from LA Galaxy),' he told Spanish newspaper AS.

'I keep doing my job to stay in Madrid. Then, to see what happens and what the club wants. It’s not a comfortable situation for either the club or me.

'I do not know what will happen. I have a contract until 2015.

'The club called me (in the summer) and we did not find a solution. What January? I do not know, I hope to know what the club wants. If they choose a solution, I’m open to talk.'

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have ‘stepped up’ their pursuit of French striker Bafetimbi Gomis, according to reports.

The Daily Mail claims both Premier League clubs held talks with the player’s agents ahead of their clash at White Hart Lane last Wednesday, which Spurs subsequently won 2-1.

Defeat exposed the lack of striking prowess on the books at Anfield, with Luis Suarez leading the line alone for the Reds this season.

Andy Carroll’s loan exit and an injury to Fabio Borini has worked against Liverpool, and the paper reports that Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a forward.

So is Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, according to the paper, with attacking options limited in north London.

Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor are the only senior forwards on the books at Tottenham Hotspur, and Gomis could bolster the ranks ahead of a challenge for Champions League places.

With just one-year left on his contract, Lyon want to ‘cash in’ on the player, according to the paper, despite Gomis being the second top scorer in Ligue 1 at present.

In Liverpool and Spurs, they appear to have found two interested parties, but it’s unclear how much the English duo would have to pay for a player compared to Didier Drogba

Calciomercato have reported that Tottenham Hotspur target Pedro Obiang won’t be moving in the January transfer window but the likelihood is that the midfielder will leave Sampdoria in the summer. His agent José Miguel Gonzalez has issued a statement saying that they haven’t yet received any offers for his client and that despite the transfer market being in its early stages it is unlikely he player will leave in January.

Gonzalez has stated that it will now be in June when Obiang will move as he feels that a deal will be much easier to work on then.

"Honestly, we have not received any calls at the moment there is nothing, it is still early for the market. A departure in January? I do not think it is possible, it will be easier in June."

The Daily Mail had revealed last week that both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea were tracking the 20 year old. Both clubs have sent over scouts to watch the highly rated youngster in action. Chelsea have been linked too but most of the reports in Italy put Tottenham at the forefront as far as Premier League clubs are concerned. Even last week Gonzalez had said that it would be difficult for a deal to go through in the next transfer window and talks were likely to start around February.

His recent statement has confirmed this and so talks would only start in the New Year with regards to a summer transfer. Last week the player said he was excited by the links with top clubs but as yet no talks had been held with any interested parties. For the moment he just wants to concentrate on his football at Sampdoria and his agent is encouraging that which is a refreshing change from youngsters being touted around by their over eager representatives.

The two Premier League clubs are likely to face competition from a host of Serie A and La Liga sides when his agent starts to speak to potential purchasers in the New Year.

Tottenham are poised to renew their interest in Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas travelled to France to watch the £24million-rated star play for Porto in their 2-1 defeat at Paris-Saint Germain on Tuesday.

Spurs failed to complete a club-record bid for the Portugal international during the summer but are poised to re-open negotiations when the transfer window opens next month, according to The Mirror.

'Whenever Porto are close to the place where I am, I go see them,' said Villas-Boas of his former club.

'I went to see them last season against Emirates Marketing Project and took the opportunity to go and see them again against PSG.'

Dieumerci Mbokani has said that it would take an “exceptional” offer to lure him into quitting Anderlecht in January, with Tottenham and Fulham keen on the forward.

The 27-year-old, who has netted 16 goals so far this season, has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane and Craven Cottage in recent weeks.

But Mbokani says he does not expect to leave the Belgian club in the January transfer window.

“Unless an exceptional offer arrives in January, I will remain here until the end of the season,” he told Sporza.be.

“I am doing well at Anderlecht and I will leave soon for the African Cup of Nations.”
