If you were this Andre Schurrle fella and you knew they were offering Marin in exchange after 6 months without even playing him surely it would make you think twice about whether this was a good move or not!? Although if you take the leap up to Chelsea wages and the move doesn't work out then the small paycut you'd need to take when you move on would leave you still on significantly higher wages than you were on originally*..

*Modern footballer thinking :(

According to reports in O Jogo, Porto will finalise the signing of Marat Izmailov from Sporting Lisbon by the end of this week after the Russian midfielder rejected any interest from the Premier League.

Don't know much about this guy, but I guess he wouldn't be a Moutinho replacement.

Demba Ba is an arsehole. Loyalty?! yeah, you've touted yourself around every window for the last few years. He'll fit in well at Chelsea with the other rectums.

That 20m given to QPR will get MVila and Diame, maybe, although he's injured, but not all 3. No way. Unless it is 20m on wages alone... Joe Cole, LOL. Just the type of player they need for a relegation scrap!!!

This from a player who went on strike at his club in Germany to get a move to England.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp has admitted he would like to see Joe Cole, 31, at Loftus Road if the right deal could be struck with Liverpool for the former West Ham and Chelsea midfielder's services.

What a surprise.

I know Redknapp really rates Joe Cole, but another aging, overpaid, injury prone player who has very little to prove and no reason to be up for a relegation scrap for West Ham. Doesn't sound like what they need, might as well sign Owen...

I suppose having worked with him already Redknapp might feel that he will be able to motivate and get the best out of Cole so it makes some sense thinking like that.

Sturridge to Liverpool confirmed.

Think it will be a pretty good signing for them, not that I wanted him to Spurs, but their squad is criminally thin when it comes to forwards and strikers.

Am not one of these people who thinks Sturridge is amazing but wouldnt have been a bad signing for us. Young, and can play up top and potentially out wide in a 4-3-3/4-5-1 type formation

Not good enough to improve us and not young enough to have the potential to be amazing.

Wouldn't be a bad signing, but we should do better than "not bad" :) I think there are better players out there for that kind of money, and we couldn't offer him a regular starting spot anyway, why would he want to move from Chelsea to us just to to sit on another bench?

For £12 million I think he would have been worth a go, but at the same time I have no idea what his wages would be like. He's a good player IMO who can play in a number of positions. He may be greedy, but that will change over time when he learns how to play as part of a team.
