The Official 2023/24 Premier League Thread

Yeah, some really weird comments from pundits and media, calling the prosess a farse, That it took to long, and just about everything about the process was wrong.
FFS, it's not VARs fault that there were many things to look at for that goal. They looked at them one at a time in an orderly fashion;
was the ball out? NO
Was it a push on the defender? No, not enough
Was it offside? Inconclusive evidence
Meaning the decision was right.

What were they supposed to do? Not look at the situations?

VAR has failed to meet its expectations, many thought it would resolve the contentious decisions yet it seems to have created more, we generally accepted dodgy decisions in games after our initial moan but now everyone expects everything to be checked with the "right" result, this hasn't happened due to poor management of the system. Yesterday's incident was quite unique in that there were 3 elements of the play to be checked, I cant remember a similar situation in any other game.

XG was 0.56 but they were totally robbed (Apparently)

Arsenal were the only team looking to win that game (claims arteta..)

Quoted by Sky Sports, he said: "If there was a team looking to win the game today it was Arsenal. The outcome is nowhere near the level this league needs to have and the way this league is getting competed in. It's not good enough here in PL. I feel embarrassed to be part of this"

Is this now two goals (crystal palace against us) where var claim they can't tell if the goal should be chopped off or not, so allowed it to stand?
