liverpool are well screwed. this season was huge for them - spent big needed to re-establish themselves. totally fudged it.

I'd like to see Tiote end Suarez. I know you shouldn't wish injury on a player and normally I agree on that, but seeing Suarez genuinely roll around in pain would be an interesting sight.

Was it me or did Carroll push his face into the ref's when he got booked? The guy has a filthy attitude towards refs. Not sure whether he's more likely to score or get sent off this match. What a terrible dive as well, when it was easier to score.
I still fancy Liverpool to score in this match, this is like Saudi Sportswashing Machine's 4th/5th choice cb pairing or something. But what a job they've done this season though, their transfer policy has been excellent the last couple of seasons. Fair play to them.

This may well happen in the summer but the chances are they'll give him one more season especially if they win the FA Cup

not just that, I think the key to their great performance this season has been their have players who hold on to the ball long enough to attract two-three players before releasing it clean to an unmarked player nearby. not sure how to describe this but its clever running/holding/timing that puts a few of the opposition out of play. we seem to pass well but the opposition seems to know how we are going to play it, so are seldom caught flat footed.
it helps when they have kinda an arrogant bunch of individualistic players - not in a bad way but in a competitive context - its the kind of players that get high from just teasing and then outsmarting the opposition.
