**The Electronic Music Thread**

The Logical Progression and Earth albums were perfect to chill out to back when I was at university, I remember MC Conrad and Blame doing a night in my home town back in mid 90s which was the first and last D'n'B night we saw locally!

I also got into breakbeat, the Y4K albums were favourites of mine especially volume 6 by ILS. Bass Instinct by Lawgiverz was one of my most played CDs back in 2003.

Nice one Steve
I have most of ils tunes one of the best producers there was for breaks.
Next level was a particular fav of mine and all distinctive label stuff like y4k were always top quality.

the Y4K series was great, from memory, Evil Nine and Hybrid in particular - throw a couple of mixes up i'll be interested in giving them a listen...

i remember at the time after an initial period where it kind of exploded there didn't seem to be any new material being made - watching sets that were 90% tracks from two or three years previous. Adam Freeland was another of my favorites at the time - had a couple of epic essential mixes and his Fabric cd was also great

cheers Steff - will give that a listen

Will defo post some up as soon as get a chance to dust of some vinyl and get on the decks

Nice one fella check out ltj bukems mixcloud channel there's a lovely total science mix on there !

Will do…I remember his first two Logical Progression releases in the mid 90s…

EDIT: Love the starkness of old Doc Scott…were u a fan of his? Also saw Kemy & Storm together, great night out…yeah, when I think about it, had a lot of good d'n'b nights out ;)

Mid 90s was a bit early for me I was into garage as was young I'm 31 now
But used to listen to tape packs from AWOL Kenny ken etc. and the old rave stuff with Charlie Brown on the mic. Yes I like some of doc Scott's tunes to be honest never heard him play in person. I have listened to some of his stuff on soundcloud and enjoy it.

From 94-99 went to all the United Dance's, Hardcore Heaven you name it

DJ Randall, Kenny Ken, DJ Hype, Andy C, Mickey Finn loved them all

One of my first first raves was AWOL at Camden Palace back in 1998! Also remember going to Orange Rave there plus some event at a warehouse under the ring road in Coventry around that time and Helter Skelter V Sidewinder at The Sanctuary, ah those were the days \o/

The Plump DJs are still going and are busy in the studio making tunes. A Plump Night Out is a brilliant mix/album

Would be good to listen to a few Y4K cds

Are they making breaks tho? They were first to abandon ship and start making electro house when it was doing well for the $...

But all said they have made some of my favourite breaks tunes
Bullet train and when the funk hits the fan

Just booked Ibiza again, going 23rd to 27th Sept, staying at Ushuaia too, was £1,300 for 4 nights for 3 of us that includes brekkie and has 40% off !!! bargain haha

Ouch - you got a balcony overlooking the stage?

Meant to be going XOYO on saturday for Eats Everything and Justin Martin - not sure i have the money for it though

Another of my favourite D'n'B labels was Moving Shadow, 00.1 mixed by Timecode was the CD I played the most:

Saturday Night Lotion was the last Plump DJs album I bought, will have to have a ganders at their more recent stuff... Stanton Warriors were good contemporaries of theirs...
