That was not the point I was making, the point was if you separate Gypsies from the "white community" for the sake of the argument you would have more issues with gypsies than the non gypsy white community of which there are more. As I have done for the last two days I have tried to discuss the %'s of issues per community.
I will put it another way, I lived in Thurrock, approx 140,000 people when I lived there, the Gypsy community caused more criminal issues, anti social activities, stole, dumped rubbish, made threats, left horses to roam free, had fights, smashed pubs, robbed people in lakeside shopping centre, set up deals to rob shops by way of threats. Now for a small community in their 100s to cause more issues than the local 140,000 they are doing well for themselves. The % of their community that are fudging living like scum is far greater % than the people of Thurrock so this "there are issues in all areas" does not stack up for me, because the % of travellers that live within the law is far smaller than many others.

I accept your explanation, but I fail to see why you brought race into it. How are they non white? Earlier on we made the distinction between this group, who are ethnically Irish and Romani Gypsies.
What are your thoughts on George Galloway?

My Grandad was in Burma and my nan built rolls royce engine for bombers but they didn't do that so a community could come in and take what they wanted for free and then have people defend it by saying its a way of life or they are not all like that despite the vast majority of them being like that.

They must have been very different from my grand dad then. He fought for freedom and anti fascism. He was a good socialist too.

Well a community that goes to my aunts, steals her electric so she gets a huge bill which scares her half to death are Vermin and these acts are not to be confused as "one offs"

Hm. in some respects I thought he was on the money, but not of late. Ego got the better of him. A very intelligent man, who ran rings around the hypocrisy of the Americans when he testified before that congressional hearing. His speech was a tour de force. Cannot say That I support him today.

Ok my use of the wording was bad, but the point remains the same, larger portions of the traveller community cause issues than the same number of ANY other I know, within proportion.
The fact they have no fixed address or ways of tracking them post criminal activity makes it even worse.

My grandad believed in freedom to doing an honest days work for an honest days pay, community spirit and would do anything for anyone. Pretty decent morals that Travellers don't live by.
He would give them a clip round the ear the same way he did to those stealing his ladders that were locked to the side of his house from his decorating days.

As I said at the out set, I went to school with Romani Gypsies, none with travellers as specified here. That is not my point, I just object to people being described as vermin.
