Season 2012-13 / 2011-12 Comparison Thread

Team that finished 18th last season is replaced by the team who finished 1st in the Championship, 19th by 2nd and 20th by playoff winners.

How do you calculate west hams comparison fixtures ? Or the other promoted sides

As Rossi says. It's not really useful from West Ham's POV, other than seeing a trend, but you need them for the rest of the league. They're doing better than Wolves (not that hard), but it's been home games against Villa and Fulham and away to Swansea and Norwich.

Some very interesting fixtures next week (last season's result) :

Arsenal (0-0) Chelsea
Norwich (0-3) Liverpool
Man U (3-0) Tottenham

A win for us or Norwich will change things, but a hat trick for Suarez seems more likely.

QPR lost their corresponding fixture against Wolves last season. A win against WHam would do nicely this year.

For all the talk of Arsenal having had a good start and tougher fixtures than us, they're doing worse than they did last season.

Ignoring Chelsea and City, next weekend could be a good one:

Saturday:

Wigan Athletic (1-1) Everton 15:00
West Ham United (0-3) Arsenal 17:30

Sunday:

Liverpool (0-0) Stoke City 15:00
Tottenham Hotspur (2-0) Aston Villa 15:00
Saudi Sportswashing Machine (3-0) Manchester United 16:00

The win at Old Trafford has put Spurs one point better off in the identical fixtures compared to what we had last season...

...a win against Aston Villa on Sunday will maintain the one points advantage, as we beat them at home in 2011-12.

But if we then can manage to beat Chelsea after that, we'll be three points better off than we were for the same fixtures in 2011-12.

Considering we lost last year, a win at the scumirates would give us a big advantage over Arsenal. So that obviously won't happen. :(

Another chance to catch up with last season's points haul next weekend as we could only draw with Wolves last season.

Do you know what, I don't understand the post above.

We lost 5-2 last season and this season against Arsenal..can anyone post how we are doing like for like with results?

We have so far taken 3 points less this season than we did in the corresponding fixtures last season.
