Redknapp

Well you have to start from somewhere.....

If you want the Source then PM me

The problem is you are being vague about a subject that we all know could happen. Could redknapp be sacked asked to leave by someone like levy who has a history of trying to go in different directions with new managers, well of course he could it is a fair chance.

But of course if we start next season with redknapp in charge then you can just say redknapp did not take the offer. We have no way of knowing.

I could claim to be itk and have a friend at the weather office who knows something highly secret about the weather and that we are in for extreme weather conditions over the next 12 months. Again if you look at the last 5 years we could pass lots of as extreme weather so is not to difficult to do.

Come out and say we are going to sign a player, give his name, especailly good if he is a sort of unkown and we might start to belive you.

Thanks for sharing that.

There were rumours that we were in for a director of fooball, so this goes the same way.

Personnaly, i want Harry to stay.

I think he should go and we implement a far greater aggressive attitude with our managers sack them as soon as we drop a point and we should drop any player who makes a mistake and if they keep on doing it terminate their contracts. This will soon get us where our prepubsent fans wants us, back in the glory days of the Southern League. I just despair!!!!!!

I will be honest now, if it does not come off it does not come off, I wont make any excuse as I won't know the reason that he takes it or not.

There is a HUGE difference in claiming to be ITK and sharing a peice of information you have been given in good faith by someone you have no reason to doubt.

Nope, your claiming to know something that not everyone knows. Whether you work there or you have a friend who works there that is claiming to be 'ITK'.

I want Harry to stay but if Levy and him are not getting on then there is no point carrying working like that. If he really wants to sack him, then he should do it now, we need good players and we need to bring them him now. We cant spend another summer farting around.

Maybe this is the end of the Redknapp area, and something is broken, i dont know, but i want to see what he can do with 2-3 more quality players.

So you are claiming it is down to Redknapp if he leaves?

Not really a bit of info is it? 'manager has same option as every other manager in the league in resigning'

If Levy wants him gone, he fires him. I doubt he would say 'i'll leave it up to you'

To be honest though it’s up to you if you believe it or not.

See at the end of the day I have no reputation on here either way, I would expect what I perceive as a typical "ITK" to fight for people to believe them or make up a story to ensure some kind of belief something I have no real want to do.

I would rather be disbelieved and take a bad reputation from someone like you that I don’t know, rather than drop one of my best mates in the brown stuff.

I am not saying anything because I do not know what goes on technically behind closed doors. I would assume that the offer on the table could be compensation for the sack or a mutual termination???

Maybe that's the 'brick offer' part of the story. Maybe Levy is offering Harry a smaller amount to see if Harry would take less, just kicking off the negotiations so to speak. Maybe Levy's banking on Harry not wanting 'sacked' to appear on his CV and therefore it's more of a 'by mutual agreement' thing if he takes an offer and goes. Maybe Harry doesn't really give a toss and is confident about selling himself anyway.

I don't think it would cost too much to let Harry go either, he's only got a year left. The figure ?ú5M was banded about in another thread but I can't see that - it would put him on almost 100k a week. I'd imagine he's on something like 30/40 with Jordan and Bond maybe on 15-20k. 2.5M to move Harry and his staff on may be about right? Maybe it's a crap offer because Harry was expecting a new contract and now he's getting paid off.

I like Harry, but if we are to let him go I'd hope it would get done quickly. Liverpool and Chelsea are looking for new managers too and I wouldn't want to miss out on anyone.

my genuine first choice atm is that we bring in a DoF and Redknapp carries on with first team matters for another year (if Redknapp isn't happy with that then bring in a manager who will be)

IF this is true, big if, it would throw in to question whether Levy has been acting as a DoF of sorts these past couple of seasons ? surely you wouldn't be tying up deals for Vertonghen & Remy if the manager is on his way out unless Levy is the man behind these deal in the first place ?

I posted a while back that the 'management' doesn't like him and would have been happy for him to go to England, so this fits in. Source? straight from Daniel Levy's father

I know I am going to get slaughtered for this but a forum is here to share information.

Have had it on good authority that there is a compensation package on the table from Spurs in return for the departure of Mr Redknapp, apparently it is small in financial terms however Spurs are keen to bring in a new boss.

You **** tease.

I hope we never go down that route again unless it's an existing Manager moving upstairs.

In a quick sentence, can you tell me what a Dof does? He scouts? He manages? he looks after the money? I dont even really know, Comolli use to look for players so basically, is a dof a scout with more power?

is Levy panicking because he is scared of missing out on an AVB, Martinez or Rodgers:-k

Talking about if Redknapp was to go or the clubs reasoning, I personally see missing out on the CL from the position we held as a huge factor.

The potential breakup of the squad for which Levy personally fought to keep together last summer could be reason alone, I know the manager has no real control on that but us missing out on the CL would be the reason behind it and that could be linked back to the gaffer. I know if I had worked tirelessly fending off the press and other clubs to keep the likes of Modric only for the team to miss out on the Champions League the following year, from the position we held, I would be angry

The loss in revenue for a man like Levy would be another factor, we all know the man is shrewd in business and seeing a potential budget for the club slashed because of a dip in form this season will hurt him

And when you add that to emotion of a fan which Levy is, you can maybe see it happening.....

You **** tease.

to be fair he has named Jon Smith the agent as the source, so im sure pretty quickly we will find out if there s anything behind this because surely with all the social media out there, this rumour must be now spreading all over the place and someone will have to eventually come out and say whether its true or not

it's all a bit vague - i can only outline what i would like a DoF to be ?

a person involved at a club who's job is to overlook a long term transfer policy (think youth and players u21) a person who sets up an extensive scouting network in the name of the Club - someone who the manager can call upon to scout players of his recommendation. primarily i want him to focus on youth recruitment and leave first teams affairs to the manager - the manager should have the final say on all transfers for the first team squad, the DoF should work on behalf of the manager when it comes to first team signings.

in theory i can't see a lot there that most people wouldn't get behind - it's of benefit to everyone that we have someone focusing on signing talent at all age levels not just for the first team.
