Friedel - 4. Poor by his standards, both keeping and distribution. What's the point in hoofing it to Defoe?

Walker - 5. Bombed forward whenever he could, but awful crossing.
Gallas - 6. Apart from one bizarre moment when he let Zamora in (covering the 1-2) was ok.
King - 6. Pretty solid.
BAE - 3. Shocking game. Either knackered or lacking in concentration.

VdV - 5. A couple of shots straight at the keeper aside, offered nothing.
Sandro - 6. Defensively sound, but offered no creative outlet.
Parker - 6. Same as Sandro.
Modric - 5. Poor game yet again. Sloppy passing and little creativity.
Bale - 5. You're not Ronaldo.

Defoe - 4. Did nothing (except bottle it in a challenge at the end)

Harry - 3. Ludicrous starting line-up. Lennon on the bench again?
 
Friedel - 4 - Can't kick a ball and he's a 40 year old professional footballer. Poor positioning for the goal, but I suppose he would have saved Lampard's at Wembley.

Walker - 4 - Real poor defending today, shocking crosser of a football, does he not practice?
Gallas - 5 - What was he doing for the Zamora effort? bloody hell.
King - 6 - Our best defender, Zamora didn't make him his bitch, in fact other than Gallas tinkling about, Zamora was quiet, good performace from King, HE'S BACK!1111!!!!!!11
BAE - 3. Dogbrick.

VdV - 5.5 - only one who looked like scoring really, few decent balls in the box but still very inconsistent in terms of delivery really and he shouldn't be.
Sandro - 5.5 - had a decent half, just a shame he gets subbed off at half time because Harry doesn't start Lennon. Makes it look like Sandro has played bad really and not the case.
Parker - 6 - Was okay, atleast he has some sort of heart.
Modric - 4.5 - forgot he was playing at times, seriously. Good effort on goal though.
Bale - 5 - don't roam about, don't shoot from 50 yards, just stick out to the left and get balls in the box, its all you do best.

Defoe - 2. wow, just wow.
 
Friedel - 4. Poor. Was at fault for the goal.

Walker - 4.5. His crossing is beyond awful, which completely negates his ability to bomb forward.
Gallas - 5. Never inspired confidence when pushed up against Zamora.
King - 5. Fared little better.
BAE- 3.5. Was murdered by Mackie.

VdV - 5.5. Our best offensive player.
Sandro - 5.5. Tried hard. Did little of note, though.
Parker - 5.5. See above.
Modric - 4. Poor, poor, poor, but tried.
Bale - 4. Forget Ronaldo, you're not even Clint fudging Dempsey when you cut inside.

Defoe - 2. Wha?

Harry - 1. Failed everything today. Absolutely everything. The only reason he gets a 1 is because he submitted the fudging team-sheet in time.

Modric knows he'll be off in the summer.

Bale didn't help himself by constantly drifting in the middle. We had no width whatsoever!!! As Mulletperm said, he ain't Ronaldo.

Modric hasnt been at it since Christmas. Slows everything down, plays at a walking tempo. Passing has been tinkle poor. We should drop him or at least rest him till he bucks his ideas up
 
Friedel - 3 - Havent seen a worse game from him in a Spurs shirt. Absolutely useless when it came to the goal, was absolutely horrible with his distribution and managed to cause all sorts of problems. Opposing teams may see him as a target after this.

Walker - 5 - At least he seems to care.

BAE - 3 - Getting tired of his attitude. Had real problems today defensively, but on top of that, please stop looking for the shot.. Harry seriously needs to tell him to get his behind in check. 15-20 players in the box.. He has a go from 40y. Good work. Does this every single time he can. Cant express how much this ticks me off.

VDV - 5 - The sort of game I would want him to show his quality, had a few good efforts. But needs to do more.
Modric - 5 - Starting to wonder if he has just been coasting his way to the summer.
Parker - 5 - Does his job.
Sandro - 5 - Same, unfortunate to concede the FK I thought. No matter how many handballs there have been through out the season they all seem to go against Spurs. Unbelievable really.
Bale - 4 - Why a one footed player like him is allowed to drift all over the pitch is beyond me. Especially from the left, where he has to drift back from the right if he wants to shoot. Defenders see it miles away. Also wondered if he has started to take space away from VDV and Modric by doing so. ( Maybe affecting BAE negatively as well ) Meaning he is not doing what makes him good and he is negatively affecting the performance of his team mates by drifting inwards. Also same as BAE, team stutters a bit offensively, Bale starts taking long shots. Might be effective as a set out tactic, but for Spurs it happens every time they dont find a way through. Which seems to happen quite a lot these days.

Defoe - 2 - From the first minute the tactic seemed to be to hoof it to him.. Shortest man on the pitch. Lovely tactics. Why sell Crouch if this was going to be the tactic for Spurs ? Think he has become the new Bent as well. Does not much for the team.

Gio - 5 - NT
Rose - 5 - Should have come on after 15min.

Redknapp - 2 -Bales drifting, hoofing it to Defoe. BAEs excessive attacking role. Seemingly no movement or urgency from the players. Nothing changes from game to game. Seems to just wing it.

Assou ekotto 3 Not thinking about football at the moment, which is a problem in such a crucial part of the season, i would sell him

Modric 4 Maybe his worst game this season, not involved.

Van der Vaart 4 Not in the game, and thats down to fitness because i think hes trying his best

Defoe 3 Not good enough to start. Please sell.
 
Modric is at his best when he can get the wingers into play and stretch the opposition.If there are no proper wingers(like yesterday),the opposition will just sit back,put 10 men behind the ball and easily defend everything that comes through the middle.

There is just too many mistakes that Harry made yesterday...we could write a book about it

I think King is a 5.5 and ditto Modric (who battled well despite lack of quality).

Redknapp is a firm 1: Wrong tactics, no positional discipline hammered into players and no hunger whatsoever. Players are under pressure now and he's not succesfully doing anything supporting them or guiding them.

My present flogging horse is lack of movement attacking. Watching us last night I realised that we must be the easiest team in the league to mark. Only Modric and VdV can ever find themselves some space, and only Bale has the raw pace to make things happen on his own. Now coordinated movement for much of Redknapps managment period, but now no individual movement either. Bale and Defoe spend about three fourths of our entire time in possession being comfortably and easily marked by their back 4. Just standing around waiting for the ball. WTF. That's not just poor. It's darn Lazy.

Here's a newsflash to both THFC lurkers and the defence-slaggers on board: We can't expect to play teams to a zero each game. If we don't start MOVING we won't even get 5th. And if we start next season like this, we'd be bottom 3 after the infamous number of 8 games with less than 5 goals for. If we can't play out (and don't practice for) set plays, then our open play needs to be darn well sharp.

And standing around like 5-6 central attacking midfielders (even BAE and Kyle Walker wanted to go central FFS) ain't gonna score us a single coordinated goal from open play. Strikers will have to drop deep, wingers play on the wing and strikers work the shoulder of the last defender etc.

Sort it out or f*ck right off.
