Interesting. Did it take long to develop that formula?!

Tesla, the worlds greatest scientist (IMO) talked of how 'some being' gave him many of the 'visions' for inventions.

Have you ever had a psychic experience either directly or through another?

Some guys view on Tesla Psychic stuff:
"Tesla had shown some psychic ability, seeing the death of his mother in his mind before it happened. He had extremely acute hearing and great sensitivity to nature, detecting the resonance of the earth. He felt both the earth and the upper atmosphere could be conductors of power. He would have found ridiculous the notion that his ideas came from Atlantis and never was attracted to occult ideas. On the contrary, he worked at finding mechanical explanations for everything, even his own clairvoyance. Although he had the ability to “see” pictures in vivid detail, he maintained that these were always manifestations of things the viewer had actually seen somewhere. He would have rejected the idea that they came from the spirit world or from a memory of a previous lifetime. That has not stopped others from speculating about his extraordinary powers. It is possible, of course, that the only explanation needed is that Nikola Tesla was simply a whole lot smarter than most people."

It's hard, cause I like Tesla, but I like Psychics to... :)

Deja vu is about the only thing. But I'd probably just put that down to "confusion" effects of dreaming.

Just to save time - here's what's going to happen.

Gifter is going to post multiple quotes, websites and videos from various dubious sources - as 'evidence' of psychic activity.

Then someone who knows what they're talking about will then reply with comments backed up by known and proved science.

Gifter will gradually back down before either changing the subject or going down some obscure tangent. Then the thread dies.

It was a joke thread, I've got no axe with any belief in this at all.

Guess you have never had any experience uksb

I can't say that I beleive in pschics as I haven't personally encountered one nor have I have I felt myself psychic. If I was life would be much much simpler...

However saying that I don't doubt their existence as some of my friends have seen psychic's who supposedly communicate with the dead and they've always been shocked at them managing to pull out some personal information that they possibly couldn't know about.

If psychics are actual genuine people I'd still say that 99% of them, if not more are still just con artists.

But I do believe that all humans have some sort of psychic potential. Quite a few of us will have had some kind of dreams which have come true or times when we've been in a situation and it seems like that situation has happened before...

For example, a couple of weeks back I was at a rave doing a Nos ballon and it exploded in my face, straight after it exploded the first thing I was was one of my mates I hadn't seen in months come up to me laughing and give me a hug. Now I dunno if I've dreamt that situation before but straight away I felt a very strange sense of deja vu and I remember at some point before that I'd been in that exact same place in that exact same situation.

I have never had a supernatural experience. Although I'm not counting a dream that happens to come true as supernatural

I see why some may believe it to be true but, I just don't buy it, I think it's a load of cobblers. Horoscopes are a load of tut aswell.

Stargate Project (1970's-1995);

The Project Stargate was terminated in 1995 following an independent review which concluded:

The foregoing observations provide a compelling argument against continuation of the program within the intelligence community. Even though a statistically significant effect has been observed in the laboratory, it remains unclear whether the existence of a paranormal phenomenon, remote viewing, has been demonstrated. The laboratory studies do not provide evidence regarding the origins or nature of the phenomenon, assuming it exists, nor do they address an important methodological issue of inter-judge reliability.

Further, even if it could be demonstrated unequivocally that a paranormal phenomenon occurs under the conditions present in the laboratory paradigm, these conditions have limited applicability and utility for intelligence gathering operations. For example, the nature of the remote viewing targets are vastly dissimilar, as are the specific tasks required of the remote viewers. Most importantly, the information provided by remote viewing is vague and ambiguous, making it difficult, if not impossible, for the technique to yield information of sufficient quality and accuracy of information for actionable intelligence. Thus, we conclude that continued use of remote viewing in intelligence gathering operations is not warranted.

— Executive summary, "An Evaluation of Remote Viewing: Research and Applications", American Institutes for Research, Sept. 29, 1995[4]

Find it very interesting and agree about it mostly being an area submerged by charlatans and fraudsters.

Science is being disproved on a daily basis. Even Higgs said they wouldn't find the boson in his lifetime and they did.

I have no time for psychics but I don't take proven science as an absolute either.

What are you putting that down to? When I was younger (18 I think) I had a really freaky dream come true, I'm not going to pass on the details as it tests my own credulity, to myself! I simply couldn't have made it come true because of the many elements it had. Though it was a profoundly dark experience and one which made me feel that personally (if I do have some ability) it is not to be messed with (a friend I had told about the dream, before it happened, was there when it came true and was in tears).

Also my wife went to see a psychic, as her grandmother goes all the time, and he/she got some remarkable things correct, that person has some very deep abilities as I'm sure others do. Just not sure anybody should be using them, or is skilled enough of mind to know whether it is of a benevolent nature (which if I was in any way inclined to do it, that would be prerequisite no1).
