Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I personally don't like soft language like clumsy on this. It was an outright crime in terms of journalism. And the Beeb have higher standards to go by than other news orgs.

What I don't understand is why it was deemed necessary. It really helped nobody who dislikes Trump. And it distracts from the rich white men grooming gang stuff too. Genuinely irrational scenario.
Equally, you can't insist that people respect your Verify service as a bastion of truth when your own internal checks and balances team don't care about accuracy, as long as it fits their agenda.

It was edited to make it look like the clips were seconds apart when it didn’t need to be. As others have said, the footage was damning enough as it is, they didn’t need to enhance it so to speak.

The leaked memo from Michael Prescott also claimed the BBC are biased when it comes to Israel/Gaza and trans issues.
I'm not sure someone who was employed by Rupert Murdoch for years was the best person to be examining the BBC's conduct.

I think also the standard for the news should be the standard for the news no matter what, the "well its tax payer owned" is a cop out in some respects, all elements and outlets should be judged the same. Listening to weirdos on GB news pontificate about the truth is laughable.

Before anyone jumps on that, I agree the Beeb have been shocking and needs to be much better.......thats not my point
