Lazio finished 4th but that's not good enough for CL in Italy anymore - Germany took their 4th place as of last season

But if Juventus are kicked out - that's another story. Although back in 2006 it was an Italian team which got promotted to the CL when they were kicked to Serie B. It was Chievo, iirc

They have talked about this a bit on the guardian football podcast over the last couple of months. Terrible case, but not as bad as the 2006 one by the looks of things.

Nothing to indicate that Juve are involved this season. Absolutely no chance at all that we would get a place in CL even if one of the Italian CL qualifiers are kicked out.

...and of course there's no chance this is limited only to Italy (and Hungary by the sound of it) it's fudging RIFE within the game... the rest are just better at covering it up at the moment... when ANY English player/club becomes implicated, all hell will break loose!

There's been massive investigations in Turkey in the last couple of years and in Greece it's been common practice for years for the top teams to add some incentives here and there.

...and yet the money 'resting' on the outcomes of English football are by far greater... you'd think SOMEONE has been tempted??? (in the modern/Premier League era, rather than the 'innocent' days of Segers/Grobbelaar!!)
