That was his best game for us imho.
Was brilliant today. I wonder what made the difference for him.

I'd like to think so. Our play has been solid and consistent in the last few games. Even with slight changes (Doherty, Romero) we are playing as we would. It's good to see a familiar game plan getting results game in game out.For this particular game obviously the red card, penalty, Arsenal doing an implosion. But even so he was very good.
Perhaps the players are further settling in to Conte's system. A week between most games both for that and to keep fresh has been massive imo.
Just wanted to say again that he finished off the season strongly and put in a great shift in the final match.
With CL football, there won’t be any more throwing U-18s/23s into the deep end so hopefully we get another midfielder who can be rotated with PEH, Bentancur and Skipp so they don’t get run into the ground.
Not having to carry Winks? Was brilliant today. I wonder what made the difference for him.

For sure. But hes been quite inconsistent without Winks too. Maybe everyone is still adapting to each other as Conte continues to refine the play. Not having to carry Winks?
A defensive/ball-winning midfielder would be nice, like Sandro or Wanyama, but for whatever reason their livelihoods are short-lived. With five at the back, we have some insurance without a midfield destroyer, especially with Romero fulfilling some of that role from the back. Skipp does seem to be a good balance of midfielder but hopefully he can stay fit for more of the season.Definitely agree with this.
While I think a more creative option for CM such as Eriksen would be useful another player with the defensive ability and work rate like those three would be really useful too. Perhaps we can have both? But if we have to choose one or the other I would be tempted for someone more like those we already have.
So many games, and phases of games, the majority of the work in midfield is defensive. Real boost to have on the ball quality like all of those three show at times. But most games we'd want to at least have the two starters as defensively very solid very hard working players.
If we only have three it doesn't take much in terms of rotation or injuries before we start feeling short on options.
If we can find a player that works really well defensively and on the ball that would obviously be the best. But I would be apprehensive about a more playmaker, light defensively type poster as our only midfield reinforcement.
