Paulinho

Re: Official - Paulinho

Gerrard will win that by a landslide. I think Pauly is good but come on, Gerrard has had an excellent season as the heart beat of the Liverpool side.

As for Paulinho being in the list, seeing as there's no Toure, Hazard or Ramsey, allow me to take the list with an extra large pinch of salt.

Yup, Gerrard did indeed smash this list but Paulinho managed to avoid finishing last...

The other players you mentioned are in separate polls...

Re: Official - Paulinho

Who in their right mind would vote Paulinho as CM of the season?!

The guys been utter dirge, but the main issue is how much of a bottler he has been. I really hate actively disliking Spurs players but it's almost as if he's trying to anger me sometimes.

Re: Official - Paulinho

i dont like paulinho but accept that it takes a while to settle in , not to mention the guy would have been playin football for something like 3 straight years with no breaks after the world cup

First of two central midfield spots I would think. Hazard will probably feature in a wide player poll and Toure and Ramsey will be in the other central midfield poll?

Re: Official - Paulinho

I'm putting my cards on the table and predicting he will have a great season for us next year.

So there. :barnet:

Re: Official - Paulinho

Any poll that has Sneezy as Best Keeper for the season isn't worth looking any further at anyway. obviously been dominated by 'cheeky' (I think that is how one newspaper described keyboard gooners who hijacked some other poll) **** fans.

in the same way Paulie's stock rises since his last game, people obviously forget more and more the dross midfield we have had for most of the last 2 decades.

He needs to toughen up and he needs a system to play in as I'm not convinced he is that flexible in his approach, when he knows what is expected and what others will be doing he is fine, when the team is a shambles then he becomes clueless. But I think he will come good next season. I have more hope for him firing than I do for Bobby S.

Re: Official - Paulinho

I think he will be a lot better next year as he wont be not trying due to their being a WC in his home country like he did for the past 6 months of this season

If that was his reason for not playing for 6 months then I'd say we should get rid of him. I really hope he's got more to offer than what he's showed, and that his poor performances have been due to not being settled yet and playing in a team in constant turmoil.

Well he has scored 4 times the open play goals of Bobby S

I do have to agree. We need to use him correctly though.

Out of interest, when was the last time we had a World Cup winner in the squad?

Not sure we have had since Ossie. Was Gallas in the 98 french squad? Presume not.
