Performance wasn’t great but we fudging won. Dug out 9 points from 9 against Burnley, Brighton and West Brom. That will do. We were better second half, got a bit of control.

To be fair, they had few real chances. Hugo made one save, the one that hit the post wasn’t a chance. We defended very well and have done recently which is massive given how many we’ve been conceding and how the rest of the league is defending.

We will need to do better in the upcoming games but we won’t be playing sides set up to stop us playing.

Defence was really good today. Hojbjerg was good. The rest were ordinary at best. Son and Bale were particularly brick.

@milo Dier for me. Another excellent performance from him.

How many times have we brick the bed in that position. Today was the opposite of bricking the bed. Be thankful for that and let’s look forward.
Maybe we've decided that playing well and then not getting the result is more damaging than playing poorly and sneaking a result?

That’s the sort of winning mentality I hope the players have.

Let’s hope they enjoy their “Top of the league after 8 games (for a couple of hours)” trophy...

Not sure if people remember, but even Liverpool, for as good as they were last season, had a host of rather lucky grindy 2-1 or 1-0 wins. We're not going to make every team we meet look like part timers.

Of course not but other sides performances in the league hold no influence on how we are playing, just because Liverpool are not hitting their straps holds no bearing on us. The worry is that we have put in three of these level of performances in a row now and yes we won but it would be silly to not see like with Brighton the result could have been alot different.

Exactly. Oh, Leicester scored so we aren't top any more. What was that, about 20 minutes?

Not one can claim he doesn’t work hard, but he’s pretty slow and useless on the ball which killed attacks - he stands off players and is pretty easy to side step.

We still need a CM

And we have to work harder because of the inability to keep the ball in the centre if the park, because he takes on of them spots
