Sounded like it was a smash and grab , but a massive three points.
JM leaves sooooooo exposed with just two ( mediocre) CMs and effectively only three at the back. It really isn't a sustainable model going forward. Hope he fixes this for the Chestski game.

The defenders were heroic today - it would have been the case even if we ended at 1-1. Alderweireld, Sanchez, Verts, Aurier - with Sissoko and Dier covering superbly.
Yes, Wolves came at us like...well, wolves. Yes, they had about 500 attacks down the left and right. But how many times did they have a shot from the middle that Gazza had to deal with? A couple of headers, and the one screamer from Traore.
Other than that, it was a wall, against a brutally difficult opponent, in a difficult venue, at a difficult time.
Hats off to the defense for their display today - solidity we've been missig for *years*, never mind months.

I have to say they were incredibly impressive. Very physical, strong but also well drilled and their passing was generally good.
I think confidence is still probably quite low so to come away from here with a win, regardless of performance, is huge.
Now we have a full week for Mourinho and the players to work on structure and tactics etc.
