I think we can probably count on one hand the number of good performances in the last calendar year.

Even getting past City was one of those plucky, gritty, got some luck kind of performances that brick northern teams always grind out against us.

Chelsea at home and Everton away. They've been the only performances that have looked like a Poch team since we beat Chelsea 3-1 a couple of seasons ago.

We chucked everything at it at 2 - 4 and got punished.

At 2-4 we were playing 4231 I said at the time we should have brought Dier on for Winks or Sissoko, Dier holding Winks/Sissoko carrying the ball to the front four we had 30 minutes, if we scored inside 15 minutes we could have stolen something, they looked flakey at the back all night, but instead Moura comes on for Dele and we go 442 quickly followed by another tactical masterstroke in Lamela for Winks and leave Eriksen sitting, it’s on the so called manger and there is no excuse no wonder the players have lost confidence in him anyone with a functioning brain cell should have by now.

Think Poch has bad formation blindness or some similar ailment. I really don't think that he thinks the diamond is the/a problem.

I was quite happy with GG as long as he was hitting under par.

Under par with this squad would be fine with me.

We can't/shouldn't play Sissoko/Ndombele/Winks...too defensive, not enough goals in them, and end up accommodating them in sub-par formation. I think Ndombele starts, and either Sissoko or Dier sits with Ndombele.

It's not when he has decent players that can play football. But when all you have is a big lump up front, and a full time Instagramer in midfield, the football will obviously not be tiki taka champagne football.
