OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Palace **. 28.12.25 4.30pm

Jesus, we’re a hard, hard watch. Poor half but you can’t argue with having the lead in fairness.

From going from their box back to Vicario in 3 passes to hopeful hoofs up the pitch, it’s not Tottenham.

Gray and Bergvall are probably the only joy I get out of watching us at the moment. Richy has been decent too - in fairness, he’s probably the player who has most improved under Frank.

Will be delighted with 3 points but need to be better second half.

It’s not a massively exciting game but have Palace done anything of substance? I don’t think so. That’s part of the benefit of playing this way too.

Take a HT lead but we have been cack . Second best all over the pitch.

Would love Wharton at Spurs.
He would be a dream with Gray and Bergall in the midfield too but not going to happen.

We've been on a bad run, so highly unlikely we was ever going to magically turn up with a slick performance here. Will take a scruffy win, get a bit of confidence back and we can go into a he new year on a positive note....

VDV has been good too. Kudus as well. That first "goal" was a hint of what we can do, with a bit more confidence.

Pleased for Archie Gray to get his first goal for us. Hopefully that will help his confidence. He’s worked so hard for us and deserved his moment.

We are clearly aerially dominant so let’s get more attacking set pieces and get another goal as we seem to have little else.

Don't agree with that at all. Apart from the situation where Danso got the yellow, they haven't had a sniff, and we've looked decent in transitions.

Another 4 out of 10 pass from Bergvall there. A more consistent player picks someone out or retains the ball and helps keep possession up the pitch.
I've yet to see him demonstrate good passing quality, loads allude to it but I think they are speaking more in hope rather than based on what they've actually seen him do.

I don't think anyone has stood out in a good way. Maybe some flashes, but passing and movement has been poor again.

Hopefully we see a better half from them now

And I believe that being defensively solid first is a better foundation and has a greater long term benefit, but people want us to be free flowing and getting slapped at the same time.
To be fair to those arguing for more of a free flow they believe that with a more open and progressive approach we would in turn play better, dominate more, create more chances and win more games.

I disagree with the idea that is how things would play out but that is their view. Nothing will convince them unless we actually do it and fail doing it.

I think there is a happy medium from what you are talking about - there have been many matches where we show zero creativity and imagination. Hopefully Frank is along the way to finding the right balance....
