***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United, Mon May 11th, 8pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

'' Well if West Ham need a win to stay up when they play us I actually hope we throw the game for em !
Leeds fan 💛🤍💙''

When you see posts like this on Facebook you know what we are up against. We had this same sh*t when we were battling with Leicester for the title

When you’re one of the Big Six clubs you have to expect everyone to be against you.

An elite manager like Ferguson uses that hatred to create a siege mentality but I’m not sure whether these youngsters that Lange has built our team around are quite the Class of ‘92 whilst Muani is certainly no Cantona!

yep. they know we're a big club and they're all vying to take our spot

Yeah I think this is super interesting. All of the ‘maybe Saudi Sportswashing Machine can still get into Europe’ stuff…I don’t think it matters. Leeds showed up tonight with absolutely nothing to play for and went hard. They’re a decent team in good form.

We just have to hope we can do the job against Chelsea and Everton. Because West Ham are also overall in decent form, or were prior to Brentford.
I have read so noncense on here and people reading into stuff that in reality means little.

Ultimately you can apply any theory or cliche about football to the remaining fixtures to spin it how anyone wants. Its going to be decided how its decided, not by players being on the beach etc.

BTW, let's just be clear. That was a penalty at the end. Gilet bottled making the call, and VAR bottled bringing him to the monitor. Both Robinson and Owen explained the reasons why it was a pen perfectly.
I am sure @Muttley is non-plussed and I would again agree that it is the latest in a sea of awful decisions in the game generally this season.

I thought he was supposedly not good at saving shots? I really think he is a good shout for the number 1 spot. His use of the ball is so confident too which is not to be understated in this league as it can set up quick attacks. Shout today also for big Kev at the back who was superb.

We've always got to do it to ourselves. Has there ever been a side in history that gifts goals the way we do? If there has, I'd like to know the name of it.

Really disappointing, we really have no quality going forward. Again I don't fault the effort but we created nothing, did their goalie even make a save.

I think the Maddison one was a pen, what a ridiculous rule that if you get the tiniest touch of the ball you're free to take someone out in the box, it would be a foul anywhere else on the pitch. I'm sick of these stupid decisions and not just because it's us, in general the standards are so poor. Every week there's a howler.
Been saying it all season. We create buggar all.

Ive been saying it all season . We are dire up front and create very few clear chances. Even at Villa last week we didnt work Martinez that much.

It's looking grim guys. Tottenham at Stamford Bridge

Games played: 33
Won: 1
Draw: 11
Losses: 20
Goals for: 23
Goals against: 62

One win since the premier league began.
We will lose and have a must win v Everton. I can see W Ham beating Saudi Sportswashing Machine. They have been playing well for weeks. Even the 3 0 at Bournmouth they hit the woodwork 3 times and created plenty.
Im praying though, that they lose both their games .

What a nothing game. From kick off it all felt so flat. I thought everyone would be revved up by the fact that West Ham lost but there was so much nervous energy.

Very, very lucky to not give away a penalty right on half time -- that would have been the standard. We've given so many goals up in the last 5 minutes of the first half.

Then we score a good goal and should be able to go on with it. Confidence is at a relative high, we're at home and looking likely to be 4 points clear. But we retreat?? The nervous energy comes back. We have approx 35% off the ball from around minute 55 and what do you know? It culminates in a rash decision and a goal. And from there we never really looked likely.

Leeds should have stolen it if not for a truly incredible save from Kinsky. But then we get one of the most clear and obvious penalties you're likely to see waved away because the player got a bee's dingdong worth of a touch on the ball??

Just a nothing performance and a nothing result when it should have 3 points that basically got us over the line. Now we've given the initiative back to West Ham and could very well be in the bottom 3 again when we go to Chelsea! I'm not sure that'll happen -- I don't think West Ham will beat Saudi Sportswashing Machine, but then we're going to stay up, not because we go out and keep ourselves up, but because the other team is just as brick.

Brilliant.

What sucks is, West Ham have been flirting with the relegation zone far more than we have over the past 5 years. But Christ if we don't have all the evidence stacking against us right now.

We've always got to do it to ourselves. Has there ever been a side in history that gifts goals the way we do? If there has, I'd like to know the name of it.
We didn't get the moniker Dr. Spurs for nothing, and Cole Palmer is in the Waiting room...
