***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United, Mon May 11th, 8pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

Really disappointing, we really have no quality going forward. Again I don't fault the effort but we created nothing, did their goalie even make a save.

I think the Maddison one was a pen, what a ridiculous rule that if you get the tiniest touch of the ball you're free to take someone out in the box, it would be a foul anywhere else on the pitch. I'm sick of these stupid decisions and not just because it's us, in general the standards are so poor. Every week there's a howler.

I remember when we played Chelsea, under Ange, and Romero was sent off and Chelsea were awarded a penalty even though Romero touched the ball.

VAR is evil. Honestly it just feels like it’s there to facilitate and find reasons for whatever decision they want to make.

We created nothing mate

3 shots on target in a must win game,

We were lucky to get a point

I think we had chances eg Richy skied over from Kolo’s cross.

I think it was more two teams cancelling each other out. Leeds are good, came to play, and actually it’s just emblematic of where this league has got to. A league where Arsenal can win it with a scrappy goal most weeks. The man to man pressing just means it’s hard to play proper football.

That’s not me trying to excuse Spurs because we had been bad for a long time. Rather I think most teams struggle to be consistently good chance creators. And I don’t think Leeds were any great shakes either, again not because they were bad but because we just cancelled each other out. And then we got tired and had nothing on the bench.

That said, even in Maddison’s few minutes you can see what we missed. His use of the ball, his fakes, his ability to find the angle for the pass forward. We have badly missed that.

Hard to put a statement on

- Certain things we are way better at under RDZ, possession, press, getting into attacking third, getting set pieces
- We still make stupid individual mistakes
- Attacking lineup needs to be better and with no depth, often run out of legs by 70 minutes
- Rub of the green still doesn't seem to go our way

Still alive I guess is the best way to look at it, as a team we had too many chances this season to not be here, but we are.

We played a good game. Not great. We didn’t play calm. We wanted to win immediately, without patience. But in the end, I think we have to fight until the end of the season. Leeds played a good game. We hope they play like this also against West Ham. I’m sorry for the penalty we conceded, because Tel had a great game. He’s very young. He showed the right spirit, everyone. I’m happy for the attitude, for the mentality. We didn’t play well, but fighting relegation is like this. You can’t play all games calm. We have to improve and to change the habits, because fighting relegation is different to fighting for the Champions League. But we move on.

I’m lucky because I have a lot of good people inside the dressing room. My players are good player and good people. Sensitive people feel the pressure of what we are fighting for, and can suffer like tonight. Maybe at Villa Park we played better. We played for a big target today. Anyone who played football will understand my words.

Now we have to be positive. We have to work hard. We have the quality to get points and stay up, I think we deserve to stay up. And we’ll fight until the end. When you fight relegation, you have to stay strong, not with the legs but with the head. And to push until the end.
On Mathys Tel:

He’s a talent. I will kiss him and hug him and stop. He doesn’t need too many words. He was sorry for the … it’s not a mistake, but it can happen, for a young player, to make that [decision] in that situation.
And on that Maddison penalty shout:

I think the referee was not in the right condition today. Maybe he was not so calm. I think the [furore] of yesterday in West Ham v Arsenal was tough for everyone, maybe for the referee tonight. He went to me after one minute to say, stay inside [the technical area]. I didn’t understand why. I don’t want to speak about the James Maddison penalty. I didn’t see it and nothing will change now.

We still had chances, Richy had one at least where RKM played it across to him, we had a few half chances from snap shots in the box.

We’re lacking so much quality though. I’d replace the entire front line - RKM looks to be a player who is highly rated by some due to playing in Ligue 1 and a sub standard compared to the past Serie A. Not prem quality at all for me.obviously for now, the injuries mean we can’t.

Good to see Maddison back, maybe he can pull something out the bag in a sub appearance to get us over the line.

I’d take a point against Chelsea now tbh as don’t see us getting anything there as usual. We need Saudi Sportswashing Machine to beat West Ham so bad.
A point at chelscum..you surely are living in cloud cookoo land.....

Here's your form table.....ain't so bad considering our final two opponents

Yeah I think this is super interesting. All of the ‘maybe Saudi Sportswashing Machine can still get into Europe’ stuff…I don’t think it matters. Leeds showed up tonight with absolutely nothing to play for and went hard. They’re a decent team in good form.

We just have to hope we can do the job against Chelsea and Everton. Because West Ham are also overall in decent form, or were prior to Brentford.

Just deflated coming out of that and it felt like most of the crowd were the same. Nothing to say or add that hasn’t been said already. We didn’t really deserve the win if I’m honest but I still can’t believe Tel’s challenge for the pen. Thank GHod he got the goal or he’d be getting all sorts of brick.

I said when Tudor came in that our fate would be decided by Palace, Forest, Brighton, Leeds and Everton at home. We’ve taken 2 points from 12 so far. I hope that hindsight proves my assertion wrong.

Jeez…a terrifying stat.

Us and West Ham are 9th and 10th in the form table
