Some good periods of play, very good, positive opening 20, second 25 decent but not as good.

We just don’t shoot. Savio has looked good, Robertson has got in behind a couple of times, Marmoush with some good turns, but absolutely none of it is followed up by someone having a go. It’s always another few touches, another cut back or losing possession.

The most blindingly obvious thing from that half is that continuing to play Fernandes as a 10 is a monumental waste of his talent.

HT subs I would make are Bergvall or Gallagher for Bentancur and move Fernandes back to the 6, Kudus for Solanke with Savio switched to the left and Marmoush up top.

We should come out angry. We had plenty of opportunities for strikes on goal but are trying a touch too much, and now are slowing down to try and be perfect.

Personally, I'd look to sub Tonali sooner than later, drop Fernandes back with Bentancur and bring Madders on.
