OMT *** Tottenham Hotspur v Brentford FC ***

Borefest. We are so turgid up front. Seriously worriwd about Kudus. Started so brightly, now he can barely keep hold of the ball and never tracks back.

Defensively much more solid (apart from the few regular brain farts), which is a positive. Another clean sheet, more now this season than all of last.

I think it’s good that we have become much better defensively, but we need to build on that with offensive play to match. Then we might not be so boring either.

Frank still deserves the season but I don’t see this being successful even if everyone comes back. It’s too risk averse.

Took off a defensive midfielder and replaced with a forward with 10 minutes to go…?

It’s the quality of the creative and attacking players is the problem.

I will remember nothing from that game

Progress. I’m still struggling to blank some of last season’s horror shows from my mind.

I’ll give him credit for that. But the style is risk averse. It’s always gonna rely on moments of individual brilliance.

Dreadful game of ball. Really fudging putrid.

Positive is that it’s 4 points from 6 and two clean sheets. Defensively, we were very good. Thought the keeper and 4 defenders were very good. Romero gets stick but he did defend very well several times.

Bentancur was the best player on the park for me.

Just don’t see this style working out for us. Can’t see any real attacking threat outside of individual moments of brilliance and even if we get everyone back, you can’t rely on that. Watching Porro launch 50 yard hit and hopes is soul destroying given how good he is on the ball.

Did you notice who was on the bench for us? We're so thin in attack. Add in fresh legs of Solanke, Maddison, and Kulu and you think that this sytle won't work for us?

Having taken off our best creative attacking player 20 mins earlier in a not-even like for like sub. Please. You'll have to do better than tell he showed intent to win that game; steal it maybe.

Tell me who would make a difference in this horrific style and setup? You can't say Harry Kane 😉

Please stop using last season as some sort of mitigation for this rubbish: unless we really want to perpetuate that conversation???
