***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur Football Club vs AFC Bournemouth***

I don’t disagree. I am totally fine with the fact that if he has not delivered at the end of the season, he goes. But I really don’t see the benefit in changing before then, so it kind of is what it is for me.

Whilst I agree with you, I don't see him making the end of February.

You can see the injuries building and you can see it getting harder and harder to put out a strong eleven and bench. We have a fixture pile up as always, but most of all Frank can't catch a break. You can tell that some of the fans don't care for him, even though they're not being wholly objective about what he's trying to achieve.

The same goals are constantly being given away. Shots from the edge of the box with a lack of closing even though there are players back. Crosses not being cut out or at least pressuring the player crossing it. I don't see any evidence that these issues are being addressed. Two defensive midfielders being played for most of the season and it seems they don't have instructions to close the players on the edge of the box. Don't tell me we don't have the players of quality to do that, it's basics and any half decent footballer can do it. That is all on Frank.
Why don't those players do it then? All I saw after Semenyo's goal were players with hands out complaining. They are the ones that can change it but too many of them can't be a*sed. That's first goal was disgraceful. How Evanilson was allowed a free header in the box when both our CBa were in there was totally ridiculous.

Mate, he plays % football, he has literally said he has no issue with someone shooting from outside the box because it's low percentage stuff.

So the Semenyo goal, like the PSG & Scum Hattricks are fudging instructions from the manager ...
There’s a difference between letting players shoot from 30 yards and 18 yards….its only 50% more than a penalty! No way is he encouraging that.

You are not finding anyone in world football who will come close to Kane let alone sign for us and its the same for a prime Son.

The answer certainly doesn’t lie in a kid from a relegated club, and a bloke who can’t seem to make his mark consistently anywhere and obviously doesn’t want to be here.

Mate, it's been done to death, at a technical level, IIRC it's called zone 14 on the pitch, Frank sits his backline on the 6 yard box to congest the box, it leaves zone 14 open and he is ok with that, it's something he has said, and it's something that has been picked up by multiple football analysts and every fudging opposing manager.

Next manger that comes in has to be a temp, the rest of this season is going to long and a struggle and we are going to have to make sure we have enough points to stay up however we can.

They need to do a job of keeping us in the league then moving on and a fresh manager in the summer.

You just cant blame the manager for players making the same mistakes game after game. Same ones who cant hold the ball or make a simple pass to a team mate or close down a player who is getting onto his favoured side. It`s the same brick game after game. The core of our team is very average.

you can't blame the coach for a team that looks thoroughly uncoached? ok . I get it

If the players can't be arsed that's on the manager. Get them out and put players in that can be arsed. There has to be reprecussions if you don't put in the effort. Danso always puts in the effort and defends properly so play him.
If all the players can't be arsed then he's lost the dressing room and his days are numbered.

We don't have the fundamentals in place (decision-making and passing in particular) and lack leadership, and I don't quite see how getting Maddison and Kulusevski back, not exactly neckgrabbers themselves is going to help. But at least we have upped the effort, and fight and break better than the apathetic nothingness from earlier this season. I would love to see us shoot more when an opening presents itself though, rather than trying to pass the ball to death, which we are not very good at.

I don't know if that is true but I'll accept for the moment it is. Why the fudge didn't one of our CBs pick up Evanilson? He had a free header against 4 players I believe.

This didn't seem to affect Brentford under him - they conceded the 5th* fewest amount of goals from outside the area last season

Edit : joint 3rd fewest actually

Onfield review = overturned always. Was there a clear and obvious error? Not if VAR wasn't sure. There was contact on the first challange and that pushes VDV into the next player.
That is a very good point.

The ref gave it, so VAR can only overturn if it’s clear and obvious — yet they want the ref to review it (so it’s not clear and obvious then?)

The absolute shambles of PL refs continues.
