***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur Football Club vs AFC Bournemouth***

We didn't get sucker punched mate, Frank allows teams to shoot from outside the box, fudging it's "low percentage" brick and despite two players feasting hattricks on us because of it, we still do it, sit too deep.

The lack of tempo is why our attacks looks so bad, every fudging team in the PL given time will get back in shape and be difficult to score against.

Bournemouth hasn't won a game since October, Semenyo did two things all night because he was playing not to get injured and we conceded 3 and couldn't control the game.
Yep, for most of the game, Semenyo just jogged around, it was like they were playing with ten men and a factor in us getting back into it.

We had territory, we had momentum, players were flying forward tonight.

I get the criticism of Frank’s style in general. But the players need to execute on the pitch. This wasn’t a bad performance. We got sucker punched but we’ve seen way worse than this. Brentford was so much worse. I don’t think this on Frank’s decisions. It was bad luck and a failure to execute in the moments that mattered.
We played ok tonight, following on from Sunderland so at least there's something to grasp onto albeit a low bar. If we continue on this trajectory then I think second half of the season you will find us climbing up the table somewhat.

However my concern is that comments on here, there are more and more wanting Frank gone and combined with the reaction of fans at the stadium and now players clashing with fans again and dwindling attendances? I'm not sure he will have much longer let alone see out the season if there's much more of this fair or not....

I said in the Sunderland thread I think that this squad needs to be gutted. I reckon there are about three players from todays lot who I would definitely keep, with another three who I would maybe keep. This smacks of the days of the Ginger Pele to me, distinctly mediocre. One plus for the late90's and 2000's teams was that they knew they were brick, some of these guys, Porro, Romero and Bentancur think they are world beaters.

This is how I feel, about 4 players I’d definitely keep, maybe a couple more that I’d decide to, other than that, wouldn’t care if we sold the rest.

That'd be fine if it was just the last goal, but for all three goals there was no closing down. The first two goals there was loads of time to get the cross in and then lack of marking.

I feel like if Frank is the defensive, reactive coach then closing down is going to be a pretty foundational element of his set up? Are we saying he doesn’t coach it? Or suggested our players do it less today? Or we’re outnumbered and unable to do it? What specifically is the criticism as it relates to Frank here?

I think your post is absolutely correct…based on the game tonight. But we’re 14th. That can’t be acceptable in any way shape or form. In February we have City, Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Man U and Woolwich.

He’s in the results business. They have to pick up quickly because bottom half of the table is spectacular failure at a club like ours.
I agree. But it will be really difficult to get someone to come in part way through the season and make a real difference while we are playing so many games.

I don’t disagree. I am totally fine with the fact that if he has not delivered at the end of the season, he goes. But I really don’t see the benefit in changing before then, so it kind of is what it is for me.

Yeh because Thiago isn't making a difference. We haven't got anything that touches him. Or Schade, or Henry.

Schade is a mediocre player but please, tell me how

a 35 year old Henderson, Kelleher, Rico Henry, Ajer, Janelt, Pinnock, Collins are a team none of our players could get into and would walk on to our team.

I wouldn’t be in favour of sacking him yet. Give him the season unless it gets dangerously bad. The potential upside is very little and we’d have to pay him and his staff off. And perhaps he’ll turn it around and prove me wrong.

However, if he does last the season and finishes bottom half, he’s probably got to go.

The same goals are constantly being given away. Shots from the edge of the box with a lack of closing even though there are players back. Crosses not being cut out or at least pressuring the player crossing it. I don't see any evidence that these issues are being addressed. Two defensive midfielders being played for most of the season and it seems they don't have instructions to close the players on the edge of the box. Don't tell me we don't have the players of quality to do that, it's basics and any half decent footballer can do it. That is all on Frank.

I think if you are the board, you need to ignore the boos and bad comments. Fans are fickle so you cant base decisions on their reactions. The board need to focus on the data for decision making and getting in some urgent reinforcements especially at LB.

Hahaha you are talking utter nonsense, Schade and Kelleher absolutely sleep their way into this side, as does Henry.

And cobtinue to ignore the striker with 16 in 21 goals......

They are 6 points ahead of us.

There is the major difference

We are at a cross roads.

Unless we invest in real quality for the squad this death spiral will continue and more teams will over take us.

This window we need at least 2 players to improve the team, an 18 year old punt from Brazil ain't going to cut it
And we are gonna continue down there teenage route forever more

Mate, he plays % football, he has literally said he has no issue with someone shooting from outside the box because it's low percentage stuff.

So the Semenyo goal, like the PSG & Scum Hattricks are fudging instructions from the manager ...

I don’t think it is with the players we have.

Nathan Collins would no way get into our team ahead of VdV, Romero or Danso. Believe me, he’s decent but not at that level.

There’s less pressure and scrutiny at a club like Brentford which can help lads look like better players than they’d look at a big club.
