*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Aston Villa ***

Majority of the team picks itself unless there are some knocks or other problems with players returning from the international break.

For me I'd like to see the Kudus, Simons, Odobert trio again behind the striker (presumably Richarlison). Need that creativity across the pitch.
Why does everyone assume it will be Richi up front? Tel did well on his last outing and has continued his goalscoring form into the international break. It's not like Richi has been tearing it up of late...

FYI

Overview

Network Rail advised us of a loss of signalling in the Shenfield area, which has been caused by theft of the signalling cables. British Transport Police and Network Rail response teams are in the area and full rectification of the signals is ongoing.

Routes affected;

  • Intercity services between Norwich and London Liverpool Street
  • Ipswich - London Liverpool Street
  • Clacton on Sea - London Liverpool Street
  • Southend Victoria - London Liverpool Street
  • Elizabeth line between Stratford and Shenfield

Service Impact

Network Rail engineers have made temporary repairs to the signalling system and trains are now able between Shenfield and London Liverpool Street. However there will be a limited service to/from Liverpool Street whilst work is being carried out to fully restore the signals.

Just been checking trains and loads stop at Northumberland Park but after 11am they don't
How utterly ridiculous that they seemed to have just stopped them stopping during our game
Network Rail really don't like us

You've got to admire the sheduling that went into tinkling off so many people on a Sunday, they never seem to be able to do it when a protest march/disturbance event are on, I suppose they don't get enough time.

I could see it being Tel. Particularly as Tel can't play in the CL mid week. Just think Frank will want to get Richarlison going again. And I think the main reasons why Richarlison hasn't been tearing it up (lack of service) will impact Tel similarly. And I think we may get into some good crossing positions for this one that should suit Richarlison better. But will be interesting to see what Frank goes for.

Is it best to avoid Liverpool Street then, do we reckon?
It's going to be extremely busy, as it will be handling a lot of the usual Stratford-Northumberland fans like myself. although people on that route can disembark at Tottenham Hale and bus/walk it down.
But trains to WHL are every 10 mins. They are usually long trains so once you get through the barrier scrum and onto the platform it should be OK. Just busy.

Another thing to consider. Frank said Muani had been training well the last 2 weeks, but needs minutes so you could assume he wouldn't start but might come on at some point. I hope he is fitter than he was vs Villareal as we could really do with him at 100%

Hope to see Bergvall at start, he was the only player that did play football with sweden in the break. Hope we kan get 3-0 and get Kolo on at 70..
I would start Tel again.

I guess too he won't start and will get the chance to build his match fitness over a bit of time. But yeah, would definitely be good to see him integrated and playing well.

Would be nice to have a stress-free afternoon watching Spurs, but I doubt it will happen. Can see another Wolves type game, but this time with us falling behind early but clawing back a goal mid-2nd half
