They are not children, we don't need to make excuses for them, top players perform even when their teams are playing brick.
That’s the problem. We basically said you can have possession in midfield and our back 3 will stop you. Which hasn’t happened.

This is exasperated by having Palinha as one of the first choice midfielders - i feel you need a proper deep-laying playmaker alongside such a limited passer to make up for the shortfall in possession play.
