On the penalty decision: "At 2-1 down it was an absolute mistake from the VAR. The ref did good to do the ref call and they encourage the refereeing call on the pitch. For me that is never a penalty. Our fans were excellent, 3,000 fans traveling us here on a Tuesday. The way they supported Vic [Guglielmo Vicario], I liked that a lot."

On Cristian Romero: "Cuti is a top player, we all know that. His performance overall today was very good. He handles Nick Woltemade and his header was a striker's goal."

Our passing and basics again were terrible at times tonight. Couldn't string anything together

Some of these eejits need to step up and take ownership over their own performances

we did that. watch it back. I'm not saying we were perfect, but better than you and many others can see. Because we then fall apart in the final third. And we dont stop teams coming at us, they close us down far better than we close them down. That is why it feels like we're not decent in possession.

We have a lot more to come on creativity, but its mostly final third.

Just think about the number of crosses we've put in over the last two games. And corners we've had. We have transitioned the ball okay. Not perfect but ok. We've got into positions to cross the ball into the box time and time again. How?
 
Somehow clawing it back twice with your main CB assuming centre-forward duties ... it's entertaining for the neutral (I expect the sight of Richarlison arriving in the box about 3 seconds too late for the first was particularly amusing), but these performances are just bewildering to me. Frank's first 2 or 3 games in charge, we looked fine; we seem to have gone backwards by the hour since then.

Oh, and VAR can get fuсked. With a big ol' diсk.
