Next Manager?

You couldn't make that stuff up, could you?

Then again, there's probably no need to be upset about Gattuso's appointment. The season starts in a couple of months. Plenty of time to call off a few more deals at the last minute.

You have to wonder what's the plan there, though. That's the problem with PR and marketing being at the forefront these days. People write you cool letters to let you know how well they understand the situation and then you get... that. It's the same with politics, mind you. They're pretty good at telling you what should be done when it's time to deliver, suddenly, things are more complicated...

"We've gotten our shorts pulled down so far" - I dont think we have at all. This is all self-inflicted. No-one has done this to us

The most absurd thing about this is the comments that Gattuso was Paratici's first choice. Based on what?

Yeah, it's just insane. What the fudge has he done to deserve a chance? Mindblowing.

Anyone still keen to tell us what a great job Levy is doing?

Not sure whether this is on Levy. He's just appointed a DoF so run football matters, so would be pretty poor is on the first main decision the DoF is going to make, Levy vetos him. If Levy does that, he may as well fire Paratici

Its a crazy decision if we have moved for Gattuso though

So those that claimed Rodgers would want to come to Spurs and we would end up with a top appointment?

Seems no one worth anything wants to come, they see the squad and the budget for what it is.

There are very good coaches out there that aren't necessarily high profile candidates. Gattuso is not one. He's just a recognisable face due to his playing days.

And he's volatile and doesnt stay long. Its just a waste of next season. He wont be at Spurs this time next year, at which time we look for a new manager, again

We’d already approached fourteen candidates by the time Levy appointed Paratici though. We’re now two months into this shambles.

Do you think we leaked Fonseca for PR purposes also?

I think we don't know what we're doing and previously pretended we were ambitious and used PR to portray that aura but actually we're shambolic and don't really know what we're doing or know what we want. I also think we are slowly realising that we are not as attractive to managers as we think we are/should be and still clambering around with random abandon

But who is below Gattuso on the list? I'd probably even put Southgate and Martinez above him - at least they won't ruin the image of the club. only upside of Gattuso is that he'd be gone as fast as he arrived

If Fonseca is off, we need to go for Potter asap
