I don't think any of them have been a captain bar maybe a game or 2, but I think all 3 have the right attitude and drive while keeping level headed.

Ive added Bissouma to the poll (it should be set to allow changes of votes). I dont know enough about his personality/havent seen enough of his influence on the pitch yet

Same reason I don't want Kane to be captain. Need someone willing to give players a kick up the arse if needed.

Bissouma is getting a lot of praise from the dressing room. I don't expect he will be captain, but I think he will be in the mix.
 
I don’t know how people can make these decisions without knowing the players, seems everyone is picking their favourite player rather than someone who is actually a voice in the dressing room. Bentancur to me seems like a quiet person and not a leader. Like it or not Dier is probably the biggest leader in the dressing room, if he stays and Kane goes, Dier will be Captain imo or atleast vice captain.
 
Whoever it is it is TBH, I don't think the captain's role is anywhere near what it was, the old days of the shouting, screaming, rousing captain are gone.

If I had one attribute it would probably be the one with most about them in the press to translate the message of the manager and stick up for his team and club. That would do me
 
If I thought it might remove the recklessness, I'd consider Romero.

But not sure whether his English is good enough to be up to the media-facing part of the role.

But it also has to be someone who is essentially automatic first choice. Dier isn’t or at least shouldn’t be. It does also need to be someone who is one of the best players in the team IMO and that everyone respects, although Henderson wasn’t ever one of Liverpool’ best players which flies in the face of my theory. Doesn’t necessarily have to be the best player in the team but it should be one of the top 2-3 IMO.

Lol Dier is vocal and animated but i don't see anyone listening or following him.

Son should be automatically starting under Ange and he is also captain of the S Korea national team.

I think Bentancur over Son, but I'd be fine with Son being captain. I think Bentancur can be a good leader and help push his teammates without being annoying. But... maybe being a good English-speaker (or at least comfortable with the language) is vital for the role as he has to communicate with Ange, the rest of the team, and the media as @Aldo stated.
Yeah, it's true we don't really know the locker room dynamics except from watching training videos which we get only partial insight from. There are probably multiple social groups so a player that can bridge those gaps would be ideal.
 
I think we need to plan for the next 5 year cycle, so Bentancur/Bissouma/Romero in their mid-20s are the right age, whereas Son/Kane/Dier approaching 30 are perhaps a bit old for that.
