Today is the first time I could bring myself to watch any videos of the 05-06 season. The way it all ended still hurts (end of season pain was unfortunately to become a running theme). That aside, watching this certainly brought back a few positive memories. It particularly reminded me of just how good Robbie Keane was in his prime. Also, Jermain Jenas = free kick specialist  How did I miss that at the time?

despite the end of the season, I really enjoyed that year and it's one of my favourites. It was sort of that season we woke up and it was a real fun time to be a Spurs fan again. I loved it.

King/Dawson forming a formidable partnership at the back. Keane coming into his own, Carrick in the middle, Edgar Davids, Robinson at his best.

forgetting how it finished that was one of my favourite seasons following Spurs - was going to a lot of away games then, think i saw all the away goals bar the one at 'boro in the vid.

2-0 down at Charlton to win 3-2 a particular highlight - had some good games at The Valley iirc

great times :D

yeah, there was a real buzz about the place under Jol - probably helped it was the time where we made our first real step away from mid table also-rans, loved it

Yep,that season was a reawakening of sorts for the club after what had seemed like a life time of mediocrity.

Charlton away was amazing. I was actually in the the Main stand with all the Charlton fans and just before we broke on Charlton for Keane to get the winner, Mido went down and Charlton wouldn't put the ball out...........ultimate punishment!

I think my favourite game from that season was probably beating Portsmouth 3-1 at home in December 2005. Lua Lua put them 1-0 up with a pretty speculative effort which I felt Robbo could have done better with but he did take it early. I think King scored a towering header to get us back level before a late Mido penalty and a lovely strike from Defoe in stoppage time sealed the points. Only other game that really did it for me like that was Blackburn at home when Keane scored that amazing goal when we won 3-2.

2005/06 is one of my fav seasons as well probably equally so with 06/07 due to us getting back into Europe and 07/08 with the winning of the Carling Cup. It did have a few really low points aside from the ending of the season though. Losing away to Leicester in the FA Cup 3rd round after being 0-2 up was awful........it was bloody freezing too!

Grimsby 1-0 Tottenham was not enjoyable in the slightest either, very embarrassing.

Was it WBA where we were 1-0 down late on and we still managed to win!? That was awesome, live on Sky too

yeah was at Leicester as well - will never forget the name Elvis Hammond...

Yup, Monday night in April. Two late Keane goals......one classic little chip while in on Kuszczak and the winner a penalty. Kuszczak was time wasting from the moment Curtis Davies pulled his funny dance at the Paxton Road end after nodding them 0-1 up.

That is the benchmark for never taking the tinkle until after the game. I remember he was warming up halfway through the furst half and they ended up having to bring him off the bench about 10 mins before half time. All our support kept doing was shouting stuff about Elvis being dead etc. He sure showed us!

How about Mark de Vries?!

I had a real good feeling about that season as soon as we won against Portsmouth away on the opening day. We hadn't won on the opening day for years and then we followed up with a point away at Blackburn and two more wins against Birmingham and Middlesbrough at home. Id take 10 points from 4 games this season!

Only game I managed to get to that season was against Chelsea. I was so excited before the game then Mido went and got sent off after about 5 minutes and they cruised to a 2-0 win. Had to endure the Chelsea fans singing '3 point lane' for most of the game. Cost me £70 for the ticket as well. The only bright spot was Lennon coming on (for his debut from what I recall), and actually giving Terry and co. something to worry about.

I loved that season. Martin Jol made going to Spurs fun again and for that I will always be grateful.

I enjoyed that season too. Especially liked our white-and-blue shirt. That season was the turning point in our recent history, as we transformed ourself from being a mid table club into a top 5 club. Too bad we couldn't finish in top 4. IIRC, some crucial individual mistakes by Stalteri and Robinson cost us the 4th place, especially Stalteri's mistake against Arsenal.
