city should be smarter than to sell to a direct competitor, or are they that arrogant?

Arsenal are not a direct rival, nor will be for the foreseeable future (till City's current owners get bored). Chelsea and perhaps United are their only direct rivals.

I think that would be incredibly arrogant.... Other than Sagna - Arsenal have largely the same squad that finished 4th last season and were leading the way for a while - that was with Walcott and (more importantly) Ramsey injured. They have added Sanchez and are potentially adding Khediera.
Their weakness is at centre half when either of Mertesacker or Koschielny are out. If City help strengthen Arsenal then they could regret it.
He barely played last season, not sure Pellegrini's a fan and if Mangala does join then it'll probably leave Nastasic as 4th choice. We should be all over it, you don't try you don't get etc.
wow...i think it was 2 seasons ago when he was really good? crazy i thought it was last season.
