Mr Gogolak

Coming from someone who kept making the same point over and over again about Postecoglou, that's a bit rich. Anyway, I'm curious: since you're reading so much into my post(s), what's my point? And what's yours? You keep saying it’s the agent who’s forcing him to move. Based on what? Just Occam’s razor it: he sees Romero, VDV, JPVH, Senesi, Danso and Dragusin in front of him, then gets an offer from a Premier League club who’ve just lost their #1 center back, known for turning young talent into stars and then allowing them to move on. What would you do??
But nah…must be his agent/him chasing money…
If your point is that football agents just do as they're told by their clients, I invite you to have a look at a number of CAS rulings, as well as about a third of cases studied by FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber.
Look at it this way: in theory, an employment contract is an agreement between the employer and the employee. In reality, the employer sets the basic wages in 99% of cases. Same goes with your doctor: you don't have to take the medicine, but he's supposed to know what's best for you, and you don't. There's the law and then there's what actually happens.
Again, I find your outlook on football agents very naive - but it's your right to hold such views, of course. If Vuskovic had a talk with Zahavi, making the exact same arguments as you did (perfectly reasonable arguments, by the way) and Zahavi told him, 'son, you'd better stay at Tottenham for a season and we'll reassess your situation then', I'm 100% certain he'd still be a Spurs player.
To answer your earlier question, I don't have any inside knowledge. On a broader scale, I know for a fact that, except in some specific cases, an agent has a huge say in a player's career path. Add to that the fact that - if I remember correctly (I could be wrong because I think they changed the rules not long ago) - an agent only gets money when the player signs a new contract or move clubs, he's got an incentive to make a transfer happen. From there, anyone can draw their own conclusions.
