Lawro the Twunt says...

Re: Lawro the Twunt Says (Sunderland)...

Do the Twunt a favour, take him out back and shoot him.

Tottenham Hotspur v Reading

Tottenham are going well. An early burst in the second half against Sunderland won them the game and they cruised to a win over Aston Villa in the game prior.

Unfortunately for Reading they are going to White Hart Lane with Tottenham firing.

The Royals are going to have to try to suppress Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon, Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe and, defensively, I don't think they are capable of doing that.

The key for Spurs is to keep Bale and Lennon fit as there is no other team in the league who has their pace and width.

Reading had a confidence-boosting win against West Ham. It was not pretty but it was effective and, when you are in the predicament of fighting relegation that they are in, you just need to win games.

If they can do something in the January transfer window to increase their quality then they will have a fighting chance of avoiding relegation.

Steve Wilson's verdict: Sorry Royals, nothing doing at White Hart Lane, 2-0.

Lawro's prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Reading

Steve Wilson's prediction: Lawro to come up with another big steaming pile of unimaginative twuntiness

Out of 10 fixtures he's predicting 8 2-0 score lines.

Loves a 2-0 does the old wrinkly, grey haired, in need of a trim, sagging, skinny twunt!

But the really strange thing is that Premier League games have averaged slightly under 3 goals per match for the season so far.

Tottenham v Coventry

This is a big day for Coventry and not just because it is a repeat of the 1987 FA Cup final, when they clinched a famous win.

They are a League One team now so this is a reminder of happier days but, more importantly, they need the cash this game will generate.

The pressure is off the Sky Blues in terms of the result, while Spurs have got a proud tradition in the FA Cup and their fans will expect them to have a decent run this season.

Spurs are playing well at the moment and Andre Villas-Boas likes to play his strongest available teams in the cup competitions so I see them progressing without too many problems.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0
