I hear you, I don't think he's overly great at his job, however he's only operating with the budget he's been given.

The club came out after the window and said they are not in a good financial position, the board remain the bigger problem
 
There’s no reason to sack him, he’s a very good youth scout and would add considerable value if demoted to that function alone. It’s possible that he would then flounce in pique or be hired elsewhere, saving redundancy costs, but that wouldn’t be particularly disruptive.

I have no sympathy whatsoever. He oversaw a 'cultural revolution' which effectively gutted us of direction, personality and purpose beyond a cold analytical way of operation. I cannot forgive him that. Offski for me!

I also feel bad for Tudor. He’s now seen as a bit of a weird laughing stock. Clearly his approach wasn’t right for a squad whose confidence was completely shot. But if he came in earlier there’s every chance he could have had more of a galvanising effect. It was just too late.

And I know he’s facing flack for the fitness sessions mid season, and I do think that changing approaches so much is contributing to the injuries. At the same time though, maybe that fitness helped us press better for De Zerbi.

Absolutely mate. That last point is key - without Tudor's month of fitness drills, de Zerbi couldn't get the team pressing the way they did against Brighton, Villa and Everton.

A lot of things came together to both put us in the relegation mire and get us out of it. Tudor had a hand in both. Hopefully, he finds another job without too much difficulty, and I hope he has the time and space to grieve the loss of his father and recover from the turbulent 44 days he spent here.

He also grabbed what I still feel is a very important point for us at Anfield. It would be easy now in retrospect to say that we finished two points clear, but just getting that point in what is still a tough place to go would have kept some fire on the players and it also meant the table stayed in our favour for a bit longer.

Tudor wasn’t the right person in terms of the circumstances, but he’s also not to blame as he took a job that was offered much like anyone else would have done.
