Depends on what's needed. Bentancur has actually played well the last few games (crap the rest of the season). If you want someone that can pass the ball then it's Bentancur over Palhinha, if you need someone to break up the play then Palhinha. Both can be improved on.
Either way, it doesn't change the fact that we should wait to the summer to decide if to sign him.

I'm sorry but Bentacur has been absolutely shocking the past few games
 
You would sign Paulinha because of his mental strength. Despite what is going on around him he always turns up.
He can't do everything, but any team needs a player like him.
He's experienced and a player that can lead by example.

My only worry is the way that he plays might catch up with him as he ain't exactly young.

Thing is, in a performing Spurs team, you don't need him every game, it's why he's perfect

- Experienced head that still gives it all
- Great potential to help us close games
- Happy to be here

honestly I'd move Bentancur on and keep Paulhinha

My worry is that he is unfairly being labelled as a thug, every tackle will now be a potential card.
It's ludicrous that we being called out as a dirty team.

we need two players who can do both - that's how demanding modern football is. especially as hopes of kulu and maddi coming back to form is not high.

the beloved sissoko played more forward passes and through balls than palhinha ever can
