Joao Moutinho

possibly - i think 433 could see us create more chances for the '3' and that Bale and Lennon would each have more freedom to get in on the goals.

edit : theoretically Bale and Lennon moving to wing forwards should cover VdVs goals (as well as more chances for the CF to score from)

more likely is that we'll replace 2 of that 3 by the start of next season with players more suited to the roles.

With Moutinho in the team, it would be 4-2-3-1, with Moutinho and Sandro
Lennon Dembele Bale
Adebayor
It would be our best team going forward since Jimmy Greaves/ Gilzean days!!!!!!!

From Sunday Times journo Duncan Castles whose Moutinho info was bang on last time.

FC Porto have spent €3.3m buying 15% of Joao Moutinho's transfer rights from 3rd party investors. #FCP #THFC
The transaction values Moutinho at €22million, some €8m less than the total value of the deal FC Porto agreed with Tottenham for the Portugal international last transfer deadline day.
That proposed transfer ultimately fell through because of errors in the paperwork submitted by Porto, with Tottenham earlier meeting problems satisfying terms demanded by Moutinho's agents. (http://thenational.ae/...)
Senior sources at Tottenham have said that it would be 'impossible' for the Premier League club to sign Moutinho in the current window. 24 minutes ago

That's because we fudge about till the last min.

In all seriousness we supposedly willing to pay 22mi for him but deal at last minute is scuppered by those nasty 3rd party lads. Porto buy them out and low and behold......we don't bid! Don't take a genius to work it out.

Maybe we bid and they turned us down. They strung Levy along last TDD and they were perhaps foolish enough to think they could repeat the trick again.
Who else is after him?
