If Eze is top quality why have none of the big boys pressed the button on the release fee?
He's 27, so no sell on fee. No one well run really drops big money on fees for over 25s since PRS.

Valid points, but that would stop clubs triggering it and talking to him, even Chelsea haven'tHe is top quality. I don't think there's much doubt about that imo.
Guess it's between the CL teams and who really needs to splash big money in that position.
Also what the player wants.
Stay in London etc...
I'm not sure of the above but it could be a reason
And we are kind of a big club considering we play CL etc..

Everything seems to be aligned that way
All would come down to who really wants Sonny and his choices of course
We would be replacing Sonny with one of the few guys who is nearly as good a finisher IMO (Sonny was arguably best on the planet for 6-7 years)
If we can get a large chunk of the eze fee I think it finally just stacks up and I think fans will see how much of a “real” spurs player he is
That’s not investmentPalace are now way more interesting off the field. This new investment from New York Jets this week is an example that they are trying to make moves above and beyond just being another also ran in London.
When has that stopped some clubs?
"Well run" was the key phrase. Hence not United. When has that stopped some clubs?
They haven't needed an ACM and if they have, they have wanted a better/higher profile player. You're not going to replace De Bruyne with Eze for example.
He doesn't have the level of finesse necessary for a Pep side. He has the industry and possibly the flair but not the subtlety and finesse. That's no shame though as Pep has incredibly high standards and like you say there aren't even many of those players in the PL.I would say there are very few players in the PL that Pep would fancy. Kovacic was probably the last. He's in a short list along with Phillips, Grealish, Ake, Mahrez and Walker.
Pep is quite specific about who he wants. Not sure about a KDB replacement, but it's possible Eze would be on the City shortlist. He has the work ethic and ability on the ball I guess.

He was statistically the best finisher around including ahead of KaneWithout wanting to go too "Beatles members disparaging Ringo Starr's drumming ability", but Son wasn't even the best finisher at the club for most of his time here, nevermind the world.
Why do Spurs fans always think we have the best X in the world for most categories? It's probably not actually exclusive to Spurs fans but I don't frequent forums of other clubs, I didn't even check redcafe to feast on the salty tears of United fans post Bilbao, my look at how much I've grown up!
It's a fascinating part of the transfer window though, it seems like the right time to leave on a high for Son and he'll leave a legend as we all wanted him to. But even in supposedly poor seasons, the man was always in with goals and assists. Those things can be hard to replace, especially without placing too much pressure on new signings to hit the ground running.
I was hoping we would sign Eze at the begining of last season, would love to see him here and would swap him for Madison in a heartbeat.
He was statistically
TrueHe was in terms of outscoring his XG. Whether or not that alone makes someone a great finisher is open for debate
Only if we wanted to sell, which I doubtWould we get a decent price for Maddison though to enable the switch? 28 and high wages
