Interim manager thread 2.0

The whole Mason Greenwood thing aside, he is a decent manager isn’t he? Quite good tactician?

I think he is.

Is it likely to all blow up after 1/2 years, highly likely.

Is he currently the best option we have to avoid relegation? I think so and that's all that matters at the moment.

If anyone is at all entertaining the idea of having RDZ at the club, read through this and have a good, long think.

TRIGGER WARNING:

Mason: Move your fudging legs up! Harriet: No! I don't want to have sex! M: I don't give a fudge what you want, you little brick. H: Mason! M: Shut up. Stop talking to me. Stop! H: Stop putting your dingdong near me. M: I'm going to fudge you, you taco! H: I don't want to have sex with you! M: I don't care if you don't want fudging sex with me, do you hear me? H: Why do you have to do this, though? M: Cause Iasked you politely and you wouldn't do it! H: (Inaudible. Something about sex with other people?) M: asked you politely and you wouldn't do it so what else do you want me to do? H: Then go and fudge someone else. M: I don't want to fudge someone else! H: You do. M: No I don't. M: Push me again one more time and watch what happens to you. H: No. M: Well, you will actually

Was it De Zerbi that recorded it?

For all you complaining now that its not about RDZ, we had moved to whether Mason was a vile DV rapist. De Zerbi said he would defend him like a son in quotes. Mason has not shown any contrition. This is a reasonable position to hold if you care about victims of DV. In my view.
For a second there I thought you were talking about Ryan Mason!

Complaint from the Supporters groups that have spoken out seems to be that he defended Greenwood and doing so in a way that downplayed what happened.

I think it's very much fair to have issues with that from a manager.

What are the quotes? I’m not being antagonistic but genuinely interested. If there are soundbites of de zerbi claiming rape and/or domestic abuse is fine then I’m firmly on board at protesting his arrival at our club

If, as I expect, there are no quotes of this nature and that his selection of greenwood is being used to suggest he is some kind of rape enablist then it’s too much of a stretch for me. As I said in a previous post, where do we draw the line? Do we lambast his current teammates for not taking a stand and refusing to play? What about opposition players?

Equally I think you can question the ethics of the sport and those in it for the Greenwood situation, that audio clip was a shocker and I would question the mentality of anyone for having the bloke at their club, manager included.

The debate should be sitting with owners rightly or wrongly bringing in a player to a club with question marks around his character. It is not the manager's job to take the moral high ground regarding selecting a player whose bosses have chosen to spend money bring into the squad, especially one not convicted.

It is quite a reach tbh.....

I look at it through my own eyes. If my company hired someone who's on tape saying those things and then my boss came out to publicly support him, I'd be looking for a new job immediately.

I don't know which quotes specifically they're referring to.

Quite the false dichotomy you're setting up there....

As I said in a previous post most of us will draw that line in different places. I'd say it would be a good idea hearing out those supporters groups first before dismissing it?

Ethics in football have been nonexistent for some time now one could argue, certainly since the sky money became obscene and probably many years prior to that

One of the loves of my life is going to do something I disagree with, I also spend alot of time and money with this love and it rarely gives me the love back I deserve, especially in recent times. I've decided I'd like to question their, in my view, unethical potential decision.

Not being able to understand this position is genuinely bizarre to me.

I agree and it is one of the shames for me. But I do think people are allowed to question someone saying that Greenwood is a good guy and has paid a heavy price.
