Yea CB is clearly the issue not FB. The trouble is you have punditry geniuses like Richards, Dixon and Rooney saying the problem is Spence and when you have millions of people listening to that who actually don’t really know football that is the narrative from that point on..

I live abroad and during the Prem season I watch a lot of games with French commentary, it has its own brickness, but it’s still nowhere near as bad as what Sky, BBC & ITV serve up where the story is already decided before the game starts. When the squad was announced the pundits had already decided Spence was the wrong choice, now they have to prove their opinions.

He wasn’t great the other night, far from poor also, but blimey I honestly think people watched another game if they thought he was the issue..
