How did the strikers we were linked to last summer

I dunno. Just find it amazing how quickly things change. 2 years ago he was unstoppable, and scoring for fun.

That was my impression too.

Fair play to him. According to a football podcast (Guardian or Second Captains) he could have signed for a much bigger club this summer, but decided to test out his ability to get back playing at a very low level before accepting a contract at a bigger team.

Signed a new contract at Swansea when everyone were after him too and was fairly loyal to his club in Spain to before that iirc.

Hope he recovers well and gets back to a top flight team somewhere.
 
Most of his time playing was spent in the lower Lges in Spain, he had one season in La Liga and then Swansea bought him here.
His first season was a good one but in the two seasons since he has done nothing he has had injury problems but apart from his first season at Swansea he has been nothing special.
