Who were the first non-British Isles team to play England at the old Wembley Stadium?
 
What surprised me was the date of the game. According to wikipedia, the only internationals played in the first 27 years at Wembley were against Scotland, not even Wales or Northern Ireland.

Yes, Wembley was almost exclusively used for the FA Cup Final and bi-annual England v Scotland game with other home England internationals spread around various club stadium like White Hart Lane, Highbury, Old Trafford and Villa Park.
