Nearish to us chich is the

Black rabbit nr arundel http://theblackrabbitarundel.co.uk/ - no willows but runs right along the arun

the onslow arms at loxwood between horsham and petworth http://www.onslowarmsloxwood.com/ river in the front garden, canal in the back

and i always remember my dad taking me fishing on the river wey at wisley and this pub was 100yds up from where we would fish - http://anchorpyrford.co.uk/

Of course i cannot vouch for the quality of beer/ale or food and hopefully they are not too 'chained up' but if its sunny and the beer is cold and the garden beautiful the pub can be a bit irrelevant is you just wanna laze the day away.

Anyway i'm of for a ?ú6 supper.

Looks good, thanks.

The Gomshall mill in gomshall Surrey is part of a stunning area for a drive within a hour of London for you city folk for a day trip down here. They have just re landscaped the garden with a play area for the kids oh and the filling out a chalk stream runs straight through it. Come and get some fresh air and nature.

Also the Corner House in Worthing has an absolutely beautiful garden.

That whole A25 route is lovely from Dorking to Guildford.

Birmingham has some nice bars with outside areas by the canals

Yuppy central with a bunch of coked up arseholes in jeans and brown shoes. It's also become the norm to pay upwards of 6 or 7 quid for a pint.

The city is coming along (although they're constantly knocking brick down and building "better" stuff), once the trams are finished it'll be sweet to get around but pretending like it's London in terms of prices isn't the way forward.
