Its been looking that way for a week or so. Im still not sure we've ever been that determined.

Yeah, the time to sign him was 2 summers ago, instead of Maddison. Now it makes no sense

That's the issue, good player for sure, but not in a position we have an immediate need for (if we are prioritizing)

All not as good as Son or Eze atm. But yes plenty of potential there. Tel would probably be a starter of those 3.

A player who can play 10 and wide imo makes a lot of sense. Kulusevski may again play from the right and Maddison probably needs his minutes managed. Kulusevski also is a rather a typical 10.

Doesn't have to be Eze though.

I think the way it can work, is on the break, I could see us being hard to beat. Maddison and Bentancur picking out runners with passes. On the break:

Here’s my concern regarding Eze not being a priority because we already have Maddison and Kulu.

Kulu will likely miss the 1st half of the season due to his patella surgery. Following that he will need to regain his form. With his previous injury he never really regained his form before having the latest injury. Basically it could be a while before we see the best of him.

Maddison may miss the start of the season and his form consistency and injury record aren’t great, rarely completes 90 so will need to be heavily rotated.

If we leave things as they are I can see a situation develop where suddenly people question why we didn’t buy an CAM when we knew Kulu would be out and Maddison can’t be relied on either for form or injury. And btw this is coming from someone that actually rates Maddison
