Maybe because he doesn't appear to be that fast to the naked eye without a defender trailing in his wake?
Could well be. VDV does when he's sprinting back.

A burst of pace can be quite different to actual speed especially over a longer distance. He might have that burst to separate from his defender but not actually have a particularly fast top speed so catching another player isn't his strength. He has actually intercepted lots of players about to burst at our goal on counters so he can and has used his burst defensively. The interesting thing is that I've noticed a bunch of fans talking about his pace going forwards, including myself.
I'm not sure I've seen him sprint backwards and thought to myself "that was lightning".
Bro did you not see Spence spriiiiiinting down the line to rescue that pass that RKM didn't go for?A burst of pace can be quite different to actual speed especially over a longer distance. Oh I wasn't say he's not fast just that maybe he doesn't have a highlight top speed like VDV does, he deffo has a burst of pace.Bro did you not see Spence spriiiiiinting down the line to rescue that pass that RKM didn't go for?
Man was on fast forward.
i want to see him as a right side winger so he can cross early - he has good awareness of whats around himShould Frank somehow make it through, I could see him turning Spence into a top winger.
What was impressive tonight was the tempo. No slow passes, nothing done at a snails pace. It really helped. I am a massive fan of Spece. His attitude unerpins his game. He's all in every time. But he is another who's shy in the final third. It is psychological, how do Odobert, Spence and others become cold and clinical when in and around the box? Takes time, but I have confidence in Frank to help them forward. Just see the attacking players he's developed at Brentford.
From memory he's had several without me being able to remember specific incidents. The interesting thing is that I've noticed a bunch of fans talking about his pace going forwards, including myself.

Dimata is RAPID!He has a decent top speed
That’s beyond rapid. It’s bordering on elite professional sprintersDimata is RAPID!
Still 5 km/h behind Usain Bolt, but that's quite something for a footballer. Can he control the ball? If so, we should sign him up!That’s beyond rapid. It’s bordering on elite professional sprinters
Holy cow, that is fast.Dimata is RAPID!
He is on the bench a lot of the time so I'm guessing he wouldn't be for us. That being said, perhaps Pafos FC have better players than us? I can't keep up with just how bad our squad is meant to be on here....Still 5 km/h behind Usain Bolt, but that's quite something for a footballer. Can he control the ball? As a data analysis professional, I dislike the use of decimals when (a) it hardly makes any difference and (b) the measuring error is probably larger than 0.1
So rounding that list we have
#1 40kph Dimata of Pafos
#2 36kph
#3 36kph
#4 36kph
#5 36kph
#6 36kph
#7 36kph
#8 36kph
#9 36kph
#10 36kph
Nice that Spurs is the only club with 2 players in the top 10, we aren't all bad after all.
Frank’s working miracles mateHe is on the bench a lot of the time so I'm guessing he wouldn't be for us. That being said, perhaps Pafos FC have better players than us? I can't keep up with just how bad our squad is meant to be on here....
