Maybe, it's still a lot of money for them, maybe Gibson is happy to draw it out as long as possible to see if we do crack, or maybe he cracks and lessens the demands, maybe we've already moved on to another RWB.

I'd quite like us to sign him, Sess on the left and him on the right sounds very good and very long term to me.

Think we'd all like to see him sign. Seems too late for the korea tour now anyway with visas and that. So it will plod on.
 
Looks like a case of Levy being the fastest gun in town and someone wants to bring him down. It's a shame because as chairman go I think Gibson has done reasonably well by Middlesbrough.

In my view, we only have one - Doherty.

Royal isn't a RWB and is even less of a RWB than Reguilon is a LWB.

Might sound like a nuance but the WBs are so fundamental to Conte's system that having a proper WB there is crtiical

Yet conte seems to want to keep both.
 
I suppose if this creeps on further into the summer, Livramento and Bogle might come back into play as options (both got 6 month injuries in April and February respectively)

I think this is his plan especially as I get the feeling Conte has really taken to Royal. He loves these beastly men in his team and I think Royal has the personality to be a real general in the squad.

This mad massive bastard to come off the bench and take no prisoners and also plenty of starts in domestic cup games and home PL games against park the bus sides.

This would only be revised if we got a really good offer of at least what we paid for him but as near on all Spanish sides only make pathetic offers or loans I don’t see that happening.

I can see him becoming our new Lamela but a defender version.
