Conor Gallagher

If we avoid relegation and finally sign a ball-playing CMF plus a left footer (with a bit more experience than some talented Brazilian teenager) then perhaps Gallagher will come good but he’s not what this squad needed in January.
If we sign a ball playing 8 where is Gallagher going to play? He's not quite a DM either, so a strange signing imo considering our more obvious weaknesses. He comes across like a Levy (but no Levy) special ie. A deal to be had but no thoughts as to how he actually fixes a gap.

I don't dislike him as a player but I've never particularly wanted him mainly because he doesn't really address any of our faults.

Looked shattered yesterday. Was still running, but had the running style of an exhausted Scott Parker out there.

He was poor, no doubt. But I'm guessing that's partly fitness/inury/similar problems and that this also contributed to how poor he was on the ball.
It beggars belief that him and others seem tired. They play once a week and have to run around for 95 minutes. Really only about 50 considering the time for throw ins, goal kicks etc . They are in the prime of their lives.
I dont buy this tired bullcrap. They just arent putting in 100 %.

I was totally against the signing of Gallagher from day one. He is not the reason we are a poor team but he does not improve us. He runs about alot but offensively he gives us nothing.

It’s almost impossible to judge any player right now.
What I will say is that I expect him to give everything whenever he plays next (I personally hope that is off the bench Thursday)…
