Dortmund are the number 1 team in Germany atm, which would make Bayern Munich more winnable on paper

And its not like its 2 points and a couple of goals. There's a comfortable gap at the moment.

I'm just delighted we were in the draw. Dortmund, could have been better, could have been worse, so we'll give it a bash and see what happens.

When do they return from their winter break?

The break runs from this coming weekend to 18-20 January, apparently, with clubs generally going on training camps in southern Europe after Christmas.

Not a bad draw really, I would have preferred Porto I guess but really didn't want PSG. Will be good games, that's for sure!

You've gotta play the best to beat the best so bring em on. We usually do ok against better teams than the slightly less favourable teams (Moscow, Monaco etc). Plus we have beaten them, twice if memory serves me right last season?

Also, if we do go in half time down in each leg just leave and switch over to Corrie. Simples.

In the same round last year Bayern beat Beşiktaş 8-1.

The year before they beat Arsenal 10-2 and Dortmund beat Benfica 4-1.

So the German teams seemed quite refreshed then

(Though Leverkusen lost to Atletico Madrid, but that spoils my joke...)

And I've just accepted that one of our players will phuck up badly in the first ten minutes and we will be chasing the tie. Better for my sanity that I come to terms with this now. Hopefully we will still scramble through.

bundesliga is a weak league nowadays. rather play them than one of the obvious faves.

We math them toe for toe in the first game and go at them and get a good 2-0 win and then go and sit back and counter in the second game.

Also, probably good we are playing a team that will be favourites to win; imagine how much Spursey DNA we would have injected into ourselves if we'd drawn Porto?
