Canning Town Bingo Club

Strange given the season they are having how the media isn't full of stories about their star players wanting to leave or their manager being unhappy everyday, unlike some other clubs I could think of.

TBH I think they are half attractive prospect, decent squad TBF which is well underperforming.

The defence is old and brick. Needs a complete overhaul.

Some decent players going forward, but no one that'll take the game by the scruff of the neck.
And nothing up front.

Outside of Soucek and maybe Rice it's players that you have to carry. Benrahma, Fornals, Cornet, Paqueta - they don't get you out of a relegation fight. You can have two of those in your squad max and they'll turn up every 4/5 games.
With Antonio and Scammaca and the only strikers, it's a tough ask.
And it's a squad of individuals, not a squad with a focus on a style of play.

Why would the media be full of anything West Ham? Who on earth cares about them, excluding a few sorry fans?:D

Maybe Rice? He is head and shoulders their best player, and Soueck is pretty average. You must of meant that the other way round?

They still have some decent bones though.

Fabianski, Aguerd, Johnson, Rice, Bowen, Paqueta, Scammaca, Fornals and Benrahma, its got legs to work with, they need alot less than alot of others near them to kick on.

Fabianski is 37
Rice wants out.

The rest are all a big question mark.
An ok base to start with in the summer and with a proper focus, but needs a full defence and a spin to back it up.
It's a big rebuild.

If they get into a relegation battle, who on that list would you look at in the dressing room and think "they can galvanize us".

If?

With the right results they can be rock bottom by tomorrow night.
I thought we were about 12 games in, not 17!!
And they've lost more than anyone else - that's how you get relegated. The teams that fight will turn a few of those into draws and stay up. Really don't see where it comes from with them.
They'll be relying on the game changing players to get them some unexpected wins - they games Vs the teams around them will be very telling.

Leeds, Wolves and Everton coming up - huge for all of those clubs!

tldr, are they fudged or not?

Made a profit (£12M, first time in 5 years), comfortably 7th in league in income, wages under control, reduced debt but debt % payment has gone up.

It's a good picture with the caveats that part of the picture is from a ownership buy in, and the fact that they are highly unlikely to match last season's results (meaning less money this year)

Bowen would be a great squad signing IMO.
